I agree about the Chargers, and it was a terrible loss.

The 2011 Broncos were one of the worst playoff teams of all time, with an 8-8 record and a differential of -90 or something like that.Tebow had 316 passing yards,it can't happen. The Jaguars, it's more about the way they lost; the steelers were too arrogant during the week before this game and they didn't show up in the first 20 minutes.

The Browns had their backup head coach and play caller, but the result was a bit predictable since the Steelers were awful in the last month after their 11-0 start.

    Flipoloni needs to screw off

He incorrectly predicted Rodgers would be here a week or more ago and now he’s embarrassed

This I how they try covering their a$$es when they make wrong predictions. The old bait, and switch. Don't look there, look over here.

    Why?

Terry Brashaw is a steelers legend, this is big what he said today about Rodgers!

I'm not sure he looked better than he had in Chicago. He protected the ball better, but he was not productive. He was on a pace to throw 13 touchdown passes over a 17-game season. He was having his worst season as a runner, not just in yards per game, but yards per carry. You are right about the rest of it, including the suggestion that such a simplified offense was not sustainable.

For the Broncos game, that was an injured Steelers team on offense and defense. (That was the year Ben tried coming back too early from injury and had the horrendous 49ers game.) Out of the 11 defensive starters at the start of the season, only 4 were not on the injury report going into the WC game. With Troy's bad leg and Clark out, plus injured pass rushers, that left the team vulnerable to the deep pass. Tebow didn't win that game (less than 50% completion rate). Demarvius Thomas (all-pro the next 5 years) getting 4 receptions for 204 yards did.

It seems like fans who (even now) think that the Steelers should have steam-rolled the Jaguars are the arrogant ones.
The Jaguars had the #5 offense and the #2 defense that season. That was on par with the Patriots (#2 offense, #5 defense), and better than the Steelers (#8 offense, #7 defense). Bortles was bad other years, but was playing well that year. They had the lead late in the 4th quarter against the Patriots in New England, with Bortles doing as well as Brady. If the Jaguars defense had an average day instead of a bad one (gave up big plays with uncovered receivers), or if the refs didn't favor the Patriots, Jacksonville goes to the SB.

There is no excuse to lose at home in a divisional playoff game to Blake Bortles. They scored 10 points the wildcard game a week before. Don’t even get me started on Tebow. Mike let us all down big time in those spots with his game-plan, adjustments and preparation.

Filiponi has also said he never wanted him here from the get go too. I agree with him there. It’s clear he doesn’t really want to be here.

Because it fits in the Rodgers thread that has been going on forever, just like every time Ryan Clark says something dumb on tv it doesn't mean it deserves a new thread .

Tebow had 316 yards on 21 pass attempts.....The week after, the pats who had their worse defense in the Belichick era had a much better gameplan and Tebow was awful....For the jaguars game, the Jags had scored 10 points in each of the previous 2 games,it was not a good offense even if they were 5th in PPG...This is like saying the bears in 2006 were as good on offense that the colts since they had both 427 points.

And yes the steelers were arrogant for that game, just remember the comments on social media like Bell or the attitude of Mike Mitchell in pregame and many other example.Tomlin also thought about the potential second matchup vs pats

JAX has been a tough out for Tomlin over the years. Remember 2007 and getting beat in the WC? Overall, Tomlin is 4-5 vs JAX. And in 2017 they were crushed in the regular season against them. That was some foreshadowing.

This is different since Bradshaw is a steelers legend so this is big what he said on Rodgers yesterday

Why? Yes, he was a legend, one of the all-time greats. I have written about my fondness for Bradshaw. He was an incredible player, and the one time I met him, he was gracious, thoughtful, and funny. All of that said, he was a Steeler in a very different time. I'm sure Noll was smart enough to adapt to any time, but you can't run a team the way he did today. The culture of the game has changed dramatically in the 40-plus years since Bradshaw retired. He has remained around the game as a broadcaster, but that's not the same thing.

I'm sure the Steelers sit around waiting for advice on how to run things from Bradshaw .

I don't think Bradshaw is in on any meetings with the Steelers front office and FA players. Legend or not. Everybody has their own opinion but very few actually know the truth right now. The fact that there are QB hungry teams besides the Steelers, and none of them are bidding for Rodgers tells me, either a deal is already done here and both sides have agreed to delay the announcement, OR the 5 time NFL MVP has fallen off his game so far that no team actually wants him. Obviously both can be true.

Really doesnt matter who the QB is going to be, with the Steelers using this sad sack WR corp they will be lucky to win 7 games.
Crazy they are doing this 2 years in a row.
Rooney and Tomlin have no clue anymore.
Please trade Watt, only way to speed up this rebuild.
