Olympic rules: 5 offense, 5 defense. Who would you have?

    My team:

Offense: Roethlisberger, Slash, Swann, AB, and Willie Parker. Roethlisberger or Stewart would hike, depending on who was playing QB.

Defense: Woodson, Blount, Polamalu, Fitzpatrick, and Merriweather (speed rusher)

On defense you need one pass rusher who's has to be 7 yards back and you need 2 corners and a safety. On Offense there are 4 eligible receivers including the center. The QB is not allowed to run, he can hand off the ball and then go out for a pass and he can have the ball lateraled to him from a teammate that has the ball. The offense gets 4 downs to cross midfield and then gets a first down if they do. Once a team is on the 5 yard line it has to pass the ball to score. No running a reverse or anything like that.

I like the Randle-El pick for offense, and both the Ham and Shazier picks for defense. If Vrabel had played offense with the Steelers, I would take him, because he would know how to cheat, and get away with it.

I read about this too. Sure it's not a leftover April Fool's joke? Right up there with ribbon twirling, another great Olympic sport.

I believe the Olympics are adding synchronized ribbon twirling break dancing.

I might change a couple on offense but I still like my defense.

One year the Pittsburgh Press was on strike so by trickle down there weren’t any proof readers

In the middle of the Olympic events section someone snuck in “ long distance salad shooting”

I needed to kill some time before picking my wife up at the airport last Monday so I stopped and had a beer and some dinner at a bar and they had flag football on. The players were actually wearing pacifiers as mouth guards. I wish I were making that up. Strange times indeed.:ninja:
