I'm so sick of hearing about ceilings of players that have been in the league for over 4 years. You wanted to pay that kind of money to a player because maybe??? Hell we have maybe on the team now , for way cheaper.

I know , I don't know what games he's watched, out of all the 5 Qbs we've had since Ben left He was the top 2 in the deep ball. Some people hate so much, reality means nothing.

I don’t think Rodgers is retiring because there would be no reason to wait to say so

Therefore the theory of him signing mid June makes the most sense

    June 10 to be specific

And to that end I suspect both sides are in communication and the Steelers are giving him the courtesy to finish family stuff first

Now if he is not here June 10 then my theory isn’t valid

No I don't hate Mason just needling you a little bit. To be honest if Mason is given time to throw he can be an effective QB. I really like him as a person no doubt about that, he seems like a real nice young man and a good teammate.

No...I wanted Fields stay as starter for the entire 2024 season(instead of a washed Wilson) and play to his strength with that just to see if Fields was the answer for the long run

Again they couldn't. He couldn't win a game that the Defense couldn't hold a team to under 16 points. You complain about no offense, and then You post this. Be honest.....if You are a HC, and You see that the Qb you have starting can't win a game that the Defense gives up over 16 points, you are just going to leave him in there???

It was only 6 games and Fields was asked to not have turnovers

It was 6 games not ”only” 6 games

Every quarterback is asked not to have turnovers

I wonder if this franchise has learned a some lesson here?
Maybe take the position more seriously.
    I dunno.

The Aaron Rogers delay is no bother to me. I think most folks get too antsy.
In reality, OTA's next week aren't anything special and we are 3 months away from camp.
But I do think the end of the wait is coming to a close.

Our front office needs to take a tip from Green Bay about transitioning QB's.
    Farve, Rogers, Love.
They need to treat this situation as if Rogers has been the man for the past 20 years here.
Get a QB in the upcoming draft. I am pretty confident that they will.

No turnovers are always Tomlin's number one goal on offense even if it's handcuff the offense.Tomlin prefers to win a low scoring game than a high scoring game and it was the case even in the killer B's era.

And the Steelers didn't play to Fields' strengths. This is possible he would not been good but he didn't have a real chance and no I don't take his years in Chicago seriously, their head coach was so bad and he let Fields with the bad habits all those years...If Fields would been very good with us,the steelers would their QB for years to come

    Rodgers situation= :sleepy:

I'm perfectly content with Rudolph as starter.

    It was enough

And all told he played in 50 starting 44

    It was more than enough

He am what he am and that’s all that he am

I'd rather give a chance to a younger player with more upside than to a player who's been in decline since at least 2022.

If Wilson had been at the level of his Seattle days and had helped the Steelers to go far, it would have been a good move, but after a good start, it was no longer the case after that, and we saw why Sean Payton wanted to get rid of him despite having $80 million in dead money.

Kind of like arguing you would rather be shot than hung

To me it is not worth the thought

Issue was they didn't have the balls to draft a QB not named Rudolph higher before Ben left. I do believe due to him pouting. Look at the way he was when they drafted Rudolph. They waited to long. So here we are.

The miss on Pickett set the franchise back. Not drafting a 1st round QB before Ben left also set this franchise back.

Now hanging on with frayed rope that a 41 year old bone brain with 1 1/2 feet out the door towards retirement is what were waiting for and is the answer to the playoff drought. The same one that won 5 games last season with everything at his disposal.

So gummy worm Art II says we will wait. Because Bags Tomlin wants him. Has the stench of waiting for Aiyuk last season.

And what if they miss on a QB in 2026? No guarantees they will get it right especially if Bags Tomlin is picking.

I have a feeling that Rodgers will sign with us and even if he were to start 0-7 he would still be the starter in game 8. I really wish they would tell him to pack sand.
