I think you are being defensive because of our history, I’ve been guilty of that with you and taken things the wrong way.

I am calling the some of the criticisms of Howard in his scouting reports as lazy, has nothing to do with you.

Perhaps I didn't explain my point of view clearly enough, but given your previous post, I don't see the point of bringing that back up again. I wasn't personally offended by the lazy comment. I just disagreed with it.

I will ask what makes you think the scouts are being lazy? Their take differs from yours. Maybe they have watched more film of Howard than you or maybe they just see it differently.

You need to take a step back, and reread the last post he made.
“I am calling some of the criticisms of Howard in his scouting report as lazy…”
    (Emphasis mine.)

If you are continuing to argue against this point, then you are contending that there are ZERO scouting reports that were lazy.

I think that is not worth battling about. There are some scouts who act like only elite-strength arms will make good NFL QBs, which is patently false. They would have to show that his arm is so sub-standard that he doesn’t reach a minimum necessary threshold, which hasn’t been done.

Just my two cents, and I don't mean to interfere, but You guys are writing where I can read it.....so...
Anyway, I believe a lot of the scouting reports are lazy, and not just on him. I like to go back, and read them after a player has been in the league awhile, and a lot are way off, especially the ones that I personally watched their whole college career.
Some , not all seem like sheep. One guy says it, and everyone is saying it.

I don’t have the source handy, but I remember finding a particular scouting report about Limas Sweed before he was drafted.
    Strength: sure handed catcher
Weakness: won’t get separation in the NFL.
I had to read it a few more times, because it was the complete opposite of what happened to him on the Steelers.

You weren’t personally offended by it but accused me of being disrespectful towards you because of it

Leave it alone, Scribe. For once in your life walk away from a debate.

It's funny. When I've written things here I sometimes find myself writing in the style/jargon those scouting reports use, and I think it sounds like a bunch of BS. At the same time, you don't want to add so much personal nuance that you trip the TLDR line. :lolol:

Good point that the wording matters, and that we shouldn't read too much into what is sometimes just a first-impression blurb (instead of the full analysis).

If a scout report that a player could not do something in college, and that player turns out to be great at it in the NFL, the scouting report is still right (they didn't do it in college).
On the other hand, if that same player was scouted as not being able to do something in college and will never be able to do it in the NFL, then that second scout will be wrong. Even though there is only a slight difference in the reports.

Well thank you to everybody. Big change. 24 more hours to monitor her. The drs. 4 of them said no. She is 4.5 lbs. They want to wait for 37 weeks now. Lungs I believe. Mom's BP has leveled out. Looks like June 9th. :smiley1::cool:
