Evidently the Falcons want to move up in the draft, rumors swirling that it's for a DE. If they really wanted Jones or Mingo at our spot, looking at the trade value chart... The #17 pick for the #30 and #60 pick works out almost perfectly. They'd be short about 20 points, so maybe they throw in a 6th rounder too.

Would you pull the trigger? I know I would.

i mentioned alt. in another thread. they need a whole right side of the offensive line. it may be for fluker or one of the guards. though i hate to trade down to where we normally pick. this is the highest we've been in awhile.

I saw that, too. Who would you want at #30?

I hear you but in this class I don't see much difference between 15 and 30, which is unusual. The strength of this draft is in rounds 2-4. I really would like to see us grab a receiver like Hopkins, Allen, or Hunter and I think one of them is there at 30.

jamar taylor the best cover corner in the draft. matt elam the best all around safety in the draft. robert woods the most nfl ready WR in the draft. tyler eifert the best TE in the draft. these would be ok with me if they are there. of course i'd take them at 17 too.;)

If you can move back from 17 to 30 AND get the 60 pick in addition PLUS get the guy you would want at 17 anyway, it would be a steal of a draft. To me, Eifert is the guy I have been promoting for about 2 weeks. I think he is the best fit for what we want to do long term, but moving down to 30 may change that as someone like Patterson or Hunter or Woods at 30 is good value. Getting the additional 2nd round pick....bonus!

I'd definitely be into it...obviously see who is there at #17 first...and if nobody that stands out or is a falling stud is there then I'd consider it. I think the mid 20s would be the even more ideal spot....but if they throw in their 2nd plus a late rounder...I'd be game.

Agree 100%. I would love to trade down with the Falcons and pick up their 2nd (#60) and 6th (#198). Of course, like any draft day trade we should see who's there at #17 before finalizing the deal. I wonder who they are targeting? I know that conventional wisdom says pass rusher, and while I believe Ansah and Werner will be gone by #17, I personally think that Moore is a high potential 4-3 end - if he gets into the right environment, which the Falcons appear to have. However, despite conventional wisdom I wonder if they are looking at Tavon Austin for the slot. Could you imagine Austin running free in the middle of the field with Jones and White drawing coverage over the top? He would be deadly with those guys on the outside. When I watch Austin on tape, I see perhaps the quickest slot guy I've ever seen in a draft. Never mind his 40 time, his short area quickness is dangerous and very difficult to cover - especially with the NFL's rules on contact after 5 yards. Heck, if I thought Ben would use him correctly I would be all over Austin at Pick #17. It will be interesting to see what happens on draft day, and who the Falcons are targeting if they find a trade partner.

Geez and if they would have let Sanders go for the Pats 3rd rounder and then this "possible" trade Steelers would own the draft!

    Oh well.
