    It will be interesting to see how this pans out. I personally think Purdy is the kind of QB who will get the job done if the talent around him is top-tier, but won’t elevate anyone else’s game.

    Notice the round they were drafted. There is no need to tank a season to get franchise players.

    There was some talk on radio, pro and con, but the line I remember is damned if you do, damned if you don't. The 9's were obviously confident in him or they would not have done it, but the fall out is immediate, now it's reported that Lamar wants a new deal...the market is what it is, but the endless seeking of I got to get mine can ruin a team.

    The 53 million a year to Purdy is ridicules, but the owners and GM's set this, I doubt many or even any other team would pay him that much on the open market, but they did...counting in this year it actually averages out as 46 million, still more than I would pay but good for him.
