Why can't we get top WR's like this?

Afraid not. If we go back to the beginning of this all I made a statement to everyone, and didn't quote, or say anyone's names, and You responded to that. Anyways believe what you want, but I have thousands of examples throughout the history of the NFL. Not all ,but the majority of Wrs are made by their Qbs, again not all, but most.

Yeah I remember when a couple of games when Landry Jones had to step in when Ben was out. AB would wave his arms, stomp around and take a fit because Jones couldn't get the ball to him.

Brown made Roethlisberger better. That also counters your argument that it is the quarterbacks making the receivers.

The quarterbacks who are great without elite receivers are outliers, too. Brady is the best example of that. He is an outlier in just about everything.

In that one post, I responded because you quoted me. At the start of the discussion, I responded because I was interested in the topic.

By all means, present these thousands of examples. When you are done with the hyperbole, then we can have a real discussion of evidence.

Basically STD's argument is that a great QB will elevate the WRs. The other side suggests WRs elevate the QB. The answer lies somewhere in the middle.

I remember a number of times Hines Ward was led high into a safety by Kordell. The dude would get smacked. I would be amazed he caught the thing as he'd come up smiling. Ward was one player i watched develop into a great from a nobody. That's why he's one of my favorite players.

So did Ben make Ward? No. Did Ward like Ben not leading him into safeties? I'm pretty sure he'd tell you yes.

As for Ben and Brown, those two were like butter and bread when they were locked in. They were great players individually but they had a special connection when together.

Basically the result is the same. The Steelers need a QB lol

    Yes, they absolutely do.

I don't think anybody is saying that it is only receivers that elevate quarterbacks. I also think the answer is in the middle, that they each elevate the other. I don't think STD gives good receivers nearly enough credit.

Roethlisberger and Brown elevated one another. This notion that Brown couldn't play without Roethlisberger is ludicrous. His production didn't drop off after leaving Pittsburgh simply because he no longer had Roethlisberger. It dropped off because he was in his 30s and he lost his damn mind. It's not like he went to a bad quarterback. He had Tom Brady, who put up huge numbers those two seasons.
