Gracias - when you threw Peters out there I figured him to the GM, but didn't have time to look it up.

Personally, I think part of the problem is they've been trying to re-tool and compete at the same time, mixed with some terrible drafts at the end of Colbert's tenure. I think Khan/Weidl have done a better job with procuring talent through the draft, but the teeter-tottering they're doing with other moves is easily frustrating.

Mike Tomlin in a coaching session with Pickens.... Are you rushing or dragging??

The Steelers got a third round draft choice for one year of a head case. Tomlin has been known to get good production out of head cases. If Tomlin could not handle him any more, how well will Brian Schottenheimer do?
Maybe Pickens rights the ship, knowing if he has a good year he cashes in, but I would not wager anything of value on that.

Everything I've read says that we fleeced the cowboys and got lucky to get the trade value that we aquired.....
Apparently, we tried to shop Pickens during the draft and teams openly laughed at us...
Pickens' antics had practically made him untradeable, (which is something I mentioned would happen in an older thread)....
The next yr or 2, depending on what we get with that 3rd rd pick and Roman Wilson's development will determine who won this trade....
Right now, I have to say it's us

The Steelers made the current team much worse and got negligible value in return. That is not a win. Maybe another move is coming, but that means spending resources.

Negligible value?? So you already know their pick in 2026 will amount to nothing?

    This.

Never undervalue the importance of experience regarding Head Coaches. Tomlin does have his warts but he knows how to deal with WRs like Pickens. Brian has never done so.
