ok I will give you that -- let me re-phrase. We need a def.to stop the Ravens --ok-- no team should run all over us. Also, the off. needs to play better --so Def. can get a rest.

I see some knucklehead gave this draft an F. SDOT must have snuck his vote in somehow.

Khan said they were fine with Harmon's medicals, and when asked about it Harmon said there is nothing.

During the post-pick press conference, Steelers GM Omar Khan was asked about any "red flags" surrounding Harmon's health, and he shut down the notion quickly:

"We wouldn't have picked him unless our medical staff and we were comfortable with [Harmon's health]," Khan elaborated.

Mike Tomlin also stepped in to help alleviate concerns regarding Harmon's medical status:

"Yeah, we had him in on our pre-draft [top-30 visit] — had an opportunity to get him in front of our docs, and we were extremely comfortable with [Harmon's health]."

Johnson did not fumble once during his career at Iowa.

Funny, Troy Fautanu had the same medical red flags last year and dropped in the draft just like Harmon. The Steelers, who have the worst medical training staff in the league, gave Fauntanu a green light last year; how did that work out?

I never said he doesn't fumble or never would fumble. I just presented the statistic that gives me hope that it will be a strength.

Payton Wilson had a missing knee essentially and played all season last year. Darnell Washington also had some knee issues coming out of college. He has yet to miss a game. Injuries by themselves are tricky to critique for it is a player by player case.

For that matter, Pittsburgh was one of the healthiest teams last season. Losing Troy was bad but I don't consider that case, by itself, an omen for Derrick Harmon. For all we know, Harmon could play the entire season. Hell, he might not make it like you said.

However, to say Pittsburgh has one of the worst medical staffs in football is short sighted given how relatively healthy the team has been within the past couple of seasons.

    I give it a B to B+
I think the 1st round pick was a good one, and it was a huge need.
Not having a 2nd rounder hurt, I think we missed out on a lot of talent from our pick in the 1st to our pick in the 3rd round.

I think they took a lot of need positions which is what you wanted to see.

Will Howard interests me a lot, I just have feeling that we got someone that is more than just an NFL backup. Maybe I am wrong but, there is just something I like about him.
The turkey is on the table for him; I just hope the Steelers try to develop better than they have recently with your QBs. He was on fire in the College playoffs. Which a set up like that is what you see in the NFL playoffs.

I don't think it's some guarantee that Aaron Rodgers is coming here. I could easily see Rudolph being the starter and Howard is the back up. Then he is a play away from starting.

I think not taking a WR is hard, you always like one of those guys to develop. But can't fix everything in one draft.

Which further proves the fact that Pittsburgh was one of the healthiest teams.

Injuries are unfortunate no doubt but they do happen in a collision based sport. What happened to Troy was devastating but I'd imagine he will bounce back from it.

I'm at a B at this point and consider that generous as it should probably be a C. I only see 1 starter (not a day 1 starter) and maybe 2 rotational guys. The rest, maybe practice squad or cut/traded. The 1 starter drafted with injuries that could end up holding a clipboard on the sidelines next season.

There's gonna be 2 starters... barring no injuries. Harmon at DE and Johnson at RB. Steelers would be insane to let Johnson rot on the bench.
