Ahhhhhh my QB. I wanted Sanders, bet you guys didnt know that but Howard was my second guy.

Spend a year behind ol darkness and hopefully they have something in him for 2026.

    Welcome Howard.

I wanted Howard from the get go. To get him in the 6th is a steal. A lot of people may not like the pick but there is really no argument that he could develop into a great QB eventually. Just have to put the pieces in place around him which are coming together nicely. Could be a flop. Who knows? But nothing to lose here at all and everything to gain.

Omar did it. He fixed the most important thing on the team.

    Welcome Natty winner Will Howard!

Folks should watch this one game eval by MVP NFL QB Kurt Warner. Some really good stuff here. The negatives are correctable, but it will take hard work.

I do think there’s a chance that we see Howard in 2025, even without other QB injuries. He may get some short yardage/goal line packages designed for him.

If we sign Rodgers I don't think we see him this year but if Rodgers retires I can see Howard being the starter by the end of the season.

If there is no Rodgers and Howard is the starter by the end of the season then we will be drafting high very high

After 10 games with Mason at QB we will be around 3-7 so the team will have no choice but see what the rookie can do.

I know some wanted him early, but I thought 4th was more his sweet spot. Really like picking him up here.

Love the size and mobility, ample arm strength, good locker room presence. Easy kid to root for.

    Welcome to the 'burgh!

Interesting dilemma. If Rodgers is here and healthy the whole year, they’d have to work him like you are suggesting or would they be able to gleam enough from him in practice to be like oh yeah, this kid has it.

Because otherwise, how do you approach the draft next year if you still don’t know about Howard.

Good pick ,forget about Rogers we have too many head cases already. If Mason does good ,great and Howard will have time to develop . If both stink we get a higher draft choice nxt.year and we move out of tomlins :just good enough : mode .

I mean... Tom Arth transformed Justin Herbert into something during the 2022 to 2023 seasons. For that matter, Justin Herbert had two of his best seasons under Arth. I trust both Arth and Smith.

Quarterbacks went in weird spots. Sanders, with all the talent fell. Dart snuck into the first round. Shough inexplicably was drafted in round 2. Gabriel went in the third round when he could easily have gone undrafted.... Just a weird one all around. Happy to get a good one and get him where we did. All good stuff here.

Will Howard does have a defining trait to him; touch and overall accuracy. Dude has more than enough arm strength as well. He definitely still needs to work on his mechanics but I trust Tom Arth to figure it out. I'd imagine that Howard will be starting sooner rather than later should he be a quick study.

As far as Sanders goes.....are you really ready for the Daddy and son Sanders circus to hit Pittsburgh? We have had so many problems with primadonna WRs....I am sure the inevitable clown show with the Sanders royalty would be devastating.
