Yes there’s more to it, but I do think limited talent is the #1 driver. In the thread that I started about him in the Draft Room I started off by saying that he was the hardest QB I’ve ever tried to evaluate. As the big negative, I noted that I saw below average arm strength, not enough arm on sideline throws and passes dying more than 30-40 yards downfield. I said that I think he’s a high floor, low ceiling type of QB who needs a lot of talent around him. I think teams are saying that the low ceiling isn’t worth the potential headache. If you combine a QB with a low ceiling with an ego that says “I’m the best ever” and a loud, famous parent who will push that narrative to extreme, that’s not a recipe for a good outcome.

he's TJ coming in to the league with probably more of a leadership quality. sawyer would be as solid as there is of a pick. not perfect but will work hard to get better. remember TJ coming in wasn't the TJ we have now. almost the identical player.

Position wise draft has gone as I expected, hoping the trend continues and we
    keep adding quality players.

All I know about him is that he seemed like a difference maker watching football on live TV last season.

i believe he would be a massive steal at this point in the draft. as solid a player as you will find. he will show up on game day and won't wow you but be as solid as they come.

His dad didn't help things with that participation trophy of retiring his jersey for a 13-12 record. WTF was that?

Agreed it was dumb, and it's going to be obvious Deion is annoying.

It is time to take Sanders imo.

There is really only one qb on this roster right now. 25% of what Khan wants.

How about Houston, they get BOTH Iowa State boys at WR(way to be greedy Houston), and one of my favorite OT in the draft in Ersery. Not bad.

Protect CJ and give him some weapons. Nico and Higgins on the outside with Noel in the slot? That's freakin scary man.

And hopefully Tank Dell will be back in 2026.

I don't think he missed a game, either. I agree he'd be a steal if still on the board when their pick comes around again.

Good WR and CB talent there as well

Well Colorado has sucked since McCartney left. So I can see why they would retire the jerseys. Love him or hate him Deion and his kid made CU football relevant for the first time in decades.

So does Deon let him sign a true 4th round contract, or does he do some stupid hold out crap to try and get 1st round money for him?

The fact that Sanders wasn't drafted right now shows how much the Steelers overreached Pickett in 2022...He would have been available in the 3rd round for sure....

Man Pickett was so bad. I remember we all were just like “he’s showing improvement!” because he sucked but showed some flashes that he can do stuff. Then that was it, his ceiling was already hit lol.

I almost want to shift to Howard at this point. He’ll accept the bench more willingly as he learns the game and more importantly, wont hinder them taking a QB next draft if they feel they want to.

Wrong, I don't think Johnson was very involved in Iowa's passing game. Najee caught 70 passes as a rookie, then they decided to make Warren the third down RB .

Agree, but Tomlin is comfortable being uncomfortable. Hopefully Khan and Rooney II will keep Tomlin from having a Rodgers, Rudolph, and Sanders QB room.
