Where did you see this? I just heard Khan and Tomlin say they were satisfied with his medicals.

Well, I don't find this too humerus.

But I'm pretty sure they knew about it before they selected him. I don't know the specifics, but a partially torn labrum can heal on it's own. The rotator cuff will not, though immediate surgery isn't required. Again, I can't say what the doctors recommended based upon his medicals, but my guess is that it's a small tear that's been ruled not to require surgery for now. So they could be looking at next offseason. Hard to say.

Once he does go that route, it will be about 10 weeks of immobilization (shoulder) then physical therapy for 2-4. Full recovery 4-6 months.

Just draft Warren Brinson a little later.
Hey if Drew Brees could have a HoF career throwing after a should surgery, chances are Harmon will be fine.

I'm floored this didn't get out for real until last night AFTER we picked him. No combine red flags, no med recheck. NOT A PEEP from anyone creditable. Being overblown! Small tears that can heal with rest and time. Even if it is worse than that you still grab him and pass on Sanders

Widely considered 15-16th rated player at 21,and perfect fit 34 DT That played a lot at NT IN a 34.

Still want 2nd NT/DT this draft. Even Collins at 83, Caldwell, Peagues, West, Mills, Alexander, Sanders

The Steelers aren't worried about the injury concerns with Harmon, and ran medical checks on him during his pre-draft visit with the team.

I posted in the draft thread that Khan loves to spend 1st round picks on guys that fall because of injury red flags.

Khan goes after injured players every year.

If we have learned anything, He will probably wait to have surgery until right before training camp starts.

Everyone knew about the red flags on Harmon, just like everyone knew that last years 1st round pick had problems with his knees. There is a reason why these guys fall in the draft.

My crazy theory is Khan likes "Winning" the draft by going after injured players so he can get a good grade on his report card. :)

Media click bait. They have no access to combine Medical. Reading article paints a much different picture. Name one top flight Collage DT that DOESEN'T have Small tears in something throughout the year. If was playing with a real issue with This, and played that good imagine how much better he will be after surgery. That should put this in it's place. Plus it's how many weeks before training camp???

The click bait makes it sound like the shoulder is blown out, and it's career threatening! How could he test so well at combine. He was brought in checked by OUR DRs

I will admit that the last few player to seem to have a similar physical tone, but havent had a major issue yet, and before Fauntanu is brought up, his dislocated knee cop was a fread accident.

What? This report before the draft says otherwise.

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle prospect Troy Fautanu may be sliding late in the NFL Draft process due to some medical concerns in his knee. According to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, the Washington tackle has been flagged for a problem that could turn into a long-term issue in the NFL

I missed that last year. I picked up on draft room saying top ten pick at 20.

NO ONE was preaching Harmon needed shoulder surgery.

This is from the article that has a click bait title.

People need to quit putting do much into the media. They've lied so many times about our players the last couple years really bad.

our players have called the media out with flat out lying.

I disappointed how many people here but into click bait titles.

But then again, some of them just want to cry.

Thank you for bringing sanity to an otherwise dramatic thread. You're correct it was already known.

It was, but that doesn't mean there isn't at least some reason for concern. I'm still happy with the pick. Hopefully, if the report is accurate, it is something that can be cleaned up after his rookie season.

Prepare for yet another red-shirted rookie season. How many have their been in Kahn's short regime?
