Mike Tomlin has been named to the competition commmittee.

I like this as it gives a voice to old school style of football.

LMAO! Me too. I have never understood why so many blatant holds could go un-called. I know Goodell is an offensive minded business man, but c'mon man who doesn't like to see a QB eat dirt. With all of the rule changes over the last 10 years I am 1/2 the fan I used to be. This is not the game I grew up loving to watch. It may as well be scripted and have stunt doubles for the "hard hits" so our 100 million dollar QB's stay protected.

The competition committee now has three representatives from the AFC North. That can only be a good thing, in terms of future rule directions.

This is interesting. My question is why Tomlin and I don't mean anything against Tomlin? The question is more directed at RG and his motives. Is he doing it as a Rooney Rule type thing? He already has Marv on the committee, so, that doesn't necessarily mean much. Is he doing it to gain favor somewhere? He doesn't strike me as someone that worries too much about favor, save for a select few. Sorry, he may have a valid reason but I don't trust much of what he does!

You're assuming that Tomlin represents an "old school" style of football. Based on the Steelers' level and style of play in the trenches since he took over, I would not make this assumption.

Depends on the definition of "old school".
