    I guess I like #2 the best. I like #4 the least.

TBH I would go an amalgamation of all of them if I got my way

    1. Omarion Hampton
    3. Darius Alexander
    4. Will Howard
    5. Tai Felton
    6. Cobee Bryant

At least from the list. I like Farmer, Pegues and Alexander all in the R3-R4 range (which is where I would target DL). I like Savion Williams a lot as a mid round WR project. I very much dislike Emmanwori and Ollie Gordon III as prospects.

I could get behind this. Many would scoff at another R1 RB, but they've painted themselves into a corner by signing Gainwell to go with Warren - they lack an effective power back counter, and Hampton is the best fit there this draft - and given the question mark at QB and a Smith offense, they could do worse with the pick. My rationale at least.

The other picks are good values as well. The question would be availability.

My draft question is: Is the Steelers 1st round and George Pickens enough to move up and trade with the #8 Carolina Panthers if Sanders is available?

Carolina may still have a bad taste in their mouth after last year's DJ trade. And where is DJ?

It appears that we are interested at some level in first round backs, with us meeting heavily with the top players at the position. Jeanty, Henderson, and Hampton could all be in play at 21. I think it is the back up plan though. I think we are honed in on a QB and if they aren't available, then we are looking at a particular couple of players (Harmon/Hampton/Henderson).

My preference if it isn't QB is to go CB, but I really like a couple of the backs. I really like Warren too, but right now this team is an injury away from a Gainwell/Patterson backfield and that is no good (both fine enough players in their role, but neither are going to get you excited to start for a few games).

That would not be wise for the Steelers to draft a RB in the first round. We have alot of holes to fill on this team and picking a rb is a luxury for a team that is already established which we are not. They can get a rb in the mid rounds. This team desperately needs at DL and a slot CB. I would say those are more important than rb at this point. I am not feeling good about this draft with us not having a 2nd rounder and probably over reaching for a QB it really is gonna leave us at slim pickings to fill out the rest of our team needs. Get a Rb in the first further erodes are ability to fill out the roster with good players.

I see the Steelers definitely picking a QB in round 3 if we don’t reach for one in round 1. So if we pick a RB in round 1 and a QB in round 3 that literally puts us in round 4 before we address the DL or Slot CB. The chance of those players in round 4 and beyond being difference makers at this positions and even playing much is probably pretty slim in 2025. SO that would leave us with a essentially a backup QB and a rb that is more than likely #2 on the depth chart splitting carries with Warren. We could literally come out of the draft with zero impact players in that scenario.

Based on this already being a very weak draft for both top tier talent and depth it is gonna be hard enough to get even one impact starter in the draft this year especially based on the fact we don’t have a second round pick. With that being said it isn’t the year to draft first round RB’s or reach for QB’s.

The other thing in watching Hamptons tape he doesn’t look a good fit for the wide zone offense. There was questions about his vision in college. IF they are bent on taking a rb with their first pick I would rather them move back and accumulate draft capital and draft Judkins who would be a perfect fit for the wide zone. The upside of Hampton over Judkins is Nil so why not pickup draft capital then.
