    Joe Flacco just re-signed with the Browns for $4 million guaranteed. He would have been an excellent option to back up Rudolph, but the Steelers continue to sit on their hands and wait for Rodgers. They are pretty much out of viable veteran options to compete with or back up Rudolph if they don't get Rodgers.

    If Skylar Thompson takes a single meaningful snap for the Steelers this season, that is a huge failure by Khan.

    Flacco has been terrible lately except for when he came in against the Steelers last season with the Colts.

    That seems like an overreaction on your part. I don't like them passing on useful players as they wait on Rodgers, but that's a bit much. :)

    And they should bear in mind that the Vikings will likely want to upgrade from Brett Rypien as McCarthy's backup before lineups are set.

    I lean more for signing a Wentz than trading for Cousins, but the FA well is drying.

    I think this means the Browns are going to draft Sanders. They can't possibly go into their season with Pickett and Flacco as their QB's. Of course right now we have Mason and Skylar that might be just as bad.

    Being a QB who turns the ball over too much will get you benched. I'm not sure he's even competent anymore the Colts benched him and went back to Richardson.

    It is worse. Whatever you think of Rudolph and Pickett, Flacco is a far better backup than Thompson.

    He is a backup. Backups are going to be flawed. He is still a hell of a lot better than Skylar Thompson.

    They are running out of options to put ahead of him. They also didn't plan on Mason Rudolph being the starter, but that is a real possibility.
