Bradshaw would have been out of the league after 2 years in today's NFL. There is no way any team today would keep someone on their roster who had 19 TD's and 46 picks after 2 seasons.

He didn't even have a driver's license yet, so it's kind of a tough ask.

Here's how I think about it:

Looking at the totality of the product put on the field by Cowher with NoD, Kordell, Maddox, Ben, and comparing that in its entirety with Tomlin's body of work with Ben, Rudolph, Pickett, Trub, Fields, Wilson in its entirety, if you were transported back to 2007 and Cowher's wife hadn't passed away, would you choose Cowher or Tomlin to lead the Ben era?

I would choose Cowher over Tomlin any day to carry the flag from 2007 to now.

Oops, though I doubt he could have gotten Bradshaw to listen, either, if he had to try.

That is a different argument entirely. Given a choice between the two, I would also choose Cowher, but assuming he would have done that much more with the years that followed is dubious at best. We know that Roethlisberger grew tremendously as a passer under Tomlin. That probably happens under Cowher, too, but neither guy had much luck getting him to stop acting like a knucklehead.

If Rodgers says he’s still thinking about it while he is on the Macafee show Omar should call in and yank the offer on air

I think Ben would have killed Cowher. The chin would have had a sideline heart attack. But we would be elite on defense.

It's looking more and more like the Steelers are going into the draft with the Rodgers signing still not happening. This will force their hand into drafting a QB this season instead of next. Unless they really think that Sanders or Dart is their future franchise QB, they can wait until round 4 to take their QB. Shough, Howard, Ewers, McCord some of these guys will still be available and then they can take one of them to fill out the QB room as a backup.

It may force their hand, but should not. If it does 'force' for a guy they really are not sure of, or would not take if Aaron is signed (or not) then they are bigger fools than I thought (in making this crap show such a spectacle).

Do i want Aaron, no. If they sign him it's for 1 year (2 tops), you make the drafting decision for a QB despite if he is here or not. At this point just look at the UFL season and sign one of the scrubs from there. Find a trade partner looking for/needing immediate help and try and trade down in the 1st. KC, Buffalo, Detroit all have multiple 2nd day picks, if you can wrangle a 2nd great, maybe a 3rd and 5th..whatever. Build this team and quit playing the 'we are almost there' dream. Not even advocating for that many picks, just quality.

I am pretty sure it was Kaboly who said the Steelers were not interested in Russell Wilson last year.

Anyway, now I just need to figure out how to watch Pat McAfee’s Big Night show live. Funny, Florio imagined that Rodgers will be introduced to the show with Renegade playing. :)

How much longer are the Steelers going to play this waiting game with Rodgers? They should've given him a deadline by now.

I could see Khan coming up with a 2-year contract with the 1st year being $20 million guaranteed plus another $10 million in incentives, and then the second year being like $50 million, so Aaron can announce his 2 year $80 million contract.

I think they will draft a QB this year and next, get a mid round QB this year then next year get your franchise guy in the first round.
