But we're still waiting for Grant and Harmon to come in for a visit, make it make sense .

They already met with Grant and Harmon

They do not need to do it again

And the guy they pick in the first round usually comes in for a visit, Tomlin/Khan didn't attend either of their pro days not a good sign.

As long as it isn't Milroe. I would rather have them forfeit their pick and take no one rather than him.

That sounds like my logic for breathing a sigh of relief when they drafted Pickett. At least it wasn't Willis. That's not a good reason to like a pick. The Steelers need the help on the defensive line. They do not need to spend a first-round pick on a quarterback with questionable arm strength.

It's about time. Just earlier today somebody had to point out that the Steelers haven't met with Sanders yet. Well, here they go.

Looking at our current QB situation it makes perfect sense. QB is simply more important than DL and it seems like we are doing our due dilligence on the top prospets at the QB position. I am sure we will bring in some DL guys for visits too, but it would be negligence for us to have a hole at QB and not at least bring Sanders in for a visit.

As for Grant, I know team brass met with him before their pro day (just like they did for all the OSU kids)... They likely don't need to bring those guys in for "official visits". It makes the most sense to bring in the guys from the west coast (since we don't really send many to those pro days) or guys we just didn't send a lot of team personnel to their pro day.

Sanders has high football IQ, is very accurate, and doesn't have a natural "run first" instinct when pressured. He's pretty ready to go. I think he would be a fine pick at 21 for us. There are lots of ways to fix the DL, but there is pretty much only one way to fix your QB situation... and that is hitting on a draft pick. Very seldomly does FA or trade work out (unless you're buying a vet's final few years on a good roster like the Manning Broncos or something similar to that).

It was a must. We're obviously mulling over the QB position. It would be FO negligence to not at least bring him in.

I would not want to be drafted by the clown car show they call the Steelers nowadays.

I would rather the Steelers get Will Howard over Sanders. I just think he has the size, instincts and game mentality. Sanders may have some good qualities as well but to me he seems to be a flash in the pan whereas Howard might have the IT factor. JMHO. Don’t want them to reach for him but if he is available in the 2nd then they should grab him. Doubt he will be there though.

Some of the Will Howard fans here need a refresher on the story of the 1974 NFL Draft. The Steelers were able to put together the best draft in NFL history, getting four Hall of Fame players, because they didn't overdraft players they liked. Chuck Noll supposedly wanted to take John Stallworth in the first round, but others in the organization knew he would last much longer. Lynn Swann, on the other hand, was going to go in the first. Because they won the argument, the Steelers got three other Hall of Fame players, Swann, Mike Webster, and Jack Lambert, before taking Stallworth. Not that I think the Steelers are going to repeat something like that his year, but Howard is projected to go in the fourth or fifth round. Taking him in the first would be a huge reach that would cost them significant talent.

Howard in the 1st would be a travesty as well as Mini Hands Milroe. I can't believe Milroe was invited to the draft.

They need to look at QB's because who the F knows what's going to transpire next college season. Everyone i'm sure is secretly hoping for Manning. Yea he hasn't played a full season yet but it's the name right?! I'm sure he will be the first pick in the draft in 2026. But we shall see. And to get to the 1st pick it will have to be a Ditka type draft. For one player :lolol:

Dart or Sanders(who i'm warming up to) I would be fine with.

Teams are too well prepared now, that never would have happened today, Stallworth would be playing for a different team if they tried to wait until the 3rd to take him.

Howard will be taken in the 2nd rd most likely. I don’t know where the 4th rd stuff is coming from. The guy just needs to clean up some of his mechanics and learn how to adjust when defenses shift pre snap. Other than those two things the guy has amazing talents and has a very good shot at being a franchise QB.

I don’t think he is a first rd QB because of those things but I also wouldnt break my TV if they took him there given how good he is in every other way. The stuff he has to work on is very correctable.
