Pirates reverse bonehead move

Pirates removed the Clemente 21 logo from that big thing in RF, to make more room for an ad. After complaints from the Clemente family and fans, they took down the ad and put the logo back. I guess someone who answered to the bottom line saw a few square feet of stadium that were not generating income. What a tone deaf move! I am sure this decision was made by someone to whom Roberto is as distant a historical figure as King Tut, but there are still those of us who saw him play and who remember him going all out all the time, and not leaving until the last kid had his autograph. Damn what this team and this country has become.

 

I'm coming late to this topic but maybe l someone who lives in the area can shed some light for meon the subject. Didn't the care and administrative duties for both PNC Park and Hienz/Acrisure get turned over to the Allegheny Sports Authority? I'd think they would have moreover a say in this sort of thing.

I guess everyone jumps on a bash train yet unless someone led you by the nose, not a single one of you would have known anything changed.

Williams apologized, but quite honestly, he need only to talk with the Clementes. Even Bobby Jr. overreacted to this.

Something that was done indiscriminately all of a sudden became a sacred cow. 99.99 percent of the people making this out to be sitting on his legacy not only have no clue what was ever on the wall, a good majority of those people are just trolls anyhow.

So all you bleating sheep, just accept the apology and quit with your faux(ny) outrage.
