Me too! I think it's hilarious and you have my word that I will not let it get out of hand. I also agree that Jim made a good thread and want him to know for sure that it's not him!

 

Well, I`m fairly sure it`s not me, because I am pretty good at "agreeing to disagree", without getting personal about things.
My best guess is the guy who launched a severely personal attack, against Hugesnack a few months ago..
Claimed to know members of the team personally, etc... Tried to establish himself as a fairly well-off "fan" of the team, and belittled most people below his status in society.
I thought he was probably banned by TTF, at some point, because he was by far, the most offensive member of this board, but I forget his screen name.. Didn`t seem to last long, so I am probably wrong, since BFT said he posted within the last couple weeks.
Then again, he could be active in some of the sub-forums that I don`t usually read.
He would fit the description of a troll, and physically bigger than a bread box, since he justified his attack, by saying that he was used to sticking up for friends, smaller than him..
Anyhow, I don`t really care that much, I just couldn`t resist making a guess...
The ONLY other member that really got under my skin, to the point that I considered using the "Ignore" button on the old board was GlennP(If I remember the old username correctly), who was nothing but negative, and couldn`t even admit when he was wrong when people told him to get on his "escape goat", and go away!LOL... Fortunately, I don`t think he followed us under another name.
Even "beastly" whatever never bothered me so bad, that it got under my skin.
I just think he was a bit young, and lacking in social graces.
I`m pretty bad with those, myself, so I could just read his posts, and shake my head, and choose not to reply.
Aaaaannny how...
Kudos to Jim for pointing out what probably needed saying...
We are ALL fans of the greatest team in the league...
And it would be boring if we all just got along, and had the same opinions...
But, there is a way to argue, and disagree with each other, without resorting to name-calling, and insulting fellow fans!!!
I love this board for all it`s diversity, and entertainment value, but there are some members, who don`t seem to know how to have a debate, without making me feel like I am watching kids on a playground, hurl insults at each other.. LOL...

P.S., Jim, I agree that back in the day, I could just assume that I knew something about what kind of a person you were, if you had been a Steeler fan, all your life.
And to a degree, that is still true, but after the long number of years that we have been successful... not as much, now...
We have attracted a whole lot of people over the years, and lots of them nevr even saw the domination our teams of the 70`s imposed on the league...
And some of the ones seeing us play now, can not fathom the things that players back in the day, could get away with doing to each other, without a flag being thrown!!!

Not you Bleed. But I think I can think of one guy that I figure was banned from here but it's not him. Also the guy you are thinking of that had it out with Huge Snack was FeelTheSteel and I've not seen that dude in a coon's age. So it's not him either.

I'm glad to see that most everyone got out of my post what I was trying for. I know I'm usually a little off the wall, if nothing else. Once in a while I have an opinion but usually I just try to keep things light. I do come here to gain knowledge from you guys and most everyone on here has something to share. I, too, love the great debates when they are...great and not personal. I wouldn't lump our fan base in with every other fan base because they are all not as passionate as we are. How do I come to that conclusion. I look here in Iowa. We don't have a pro team so we are free to chose. We have Vikings/Bears/Packers/Chiefs/Rams all, somewhat, close by, however, we have a HUGE Steelers following here in Iowa and, believe me, we are waaaaaay more passionate about the Steelers than others are about their team of choice. As most of you know by now, I have a relative that played for the Chiefs. I had season tickets for a couple of years, only to watch him. The first season was rough wearing Steelers gear in a sea of red, however, most everyone I was around came to know that I was rooting for KC but my heart was with the Steelers. Back to point...mostly, with this thread, I was just hoping to remind some posters that have been down in the dumps and taking it out on here that we all bleed the same and love this team! I really enjoy you people here and, mostly, that is because I am a hermit, have no friends, live in my mothers basement (mom they responded to my thread, come see) and she dresses me funny. Actually, you guys would probably s**t if you knew what I did for a living. Anyhow, thanks for responding and good luck finding out who BFT's myster person is!
