There are reports Juszczyk is getting 7 million guaranteed from the 49ers, I doubt the Steelers offer of guaranteed money was higher .

Steelers aren't a good destination any more, terrible facilities, coach who everyone in the league knows is cooked, and a milque-toast wiener of an owner who doesn't want to change and therefore doesn't want to win. We're turning into one of those pretend NFL franchises like the Tennesse Thumbtacks or Carolina. I've said this before we're the new Raiders, Historic and storied franchise, with once proud traditions brought low and made irrelevant by complete mismanagement and an unwillingness to change with the times.

Just living in Pittsburgh Vs. SF is probably a 25% COLA raise. Plus you don’t have to deal with a ton of homeless people living in tents on the sidewalks everywhere. California used to be paradise. I wouldn’t read too much into this in terms of it being a negative reflection on the Steelers. He has played his whole career with the 49ers and I saw a statement from his wife saying how unnerving the free agency period was because their whole life is in the Bay Area and they couldn’t imaging living anywhere else. In that context it’s not surprising that he was willing to accept a little less money to stay where he is and finish out his career there.
