I think they will circle back to Wilson if they don't get Rodgers, I doubt Wilson has any real interest in playing for the Giants and Browns he's probably waiting for the Steelers to make a decision.

I can't believe Khan didn't learn his lesson from last year's aiyuk debacle. He let's these players string him along with basically no plan B, and gets left with scraps afterwards when the player goes somewhere else.

No Rudy was from Joliet, Illinois. Another rust belt town.

I agree some what, but to be honest what QB was really B level (maybe 2), and the rest C level or below. I think the plan was to get Fields signed before FA and it blew up in their faces, Darnold being the only other real choice and in truth the commitment and money were sketchy. The 30 million guaranteed for Fields surprised the heck out of me, but then again being on the cheap for a number of years they should have figured it was likely going to cost more than they had planned.

My son in-law was talking to Hanratty last month and told him that I still have my Notre Dame pennett that he signed for me in 1966. He was amazed and said he would like to see it after almost 60 years.

It might not be Khan. This happened years ago when Tomlin and Butler had a mean on for Hightower and brought him in to wine and dine him because they had liked him coming out of college. They made their pitch and he took the proposal and boarded the plane back to NE and said this where they set the market and resigned with the Pats. Meanwhile the Steelers missed out on some good FAs because they focused so much on Hightower.

I wasn't a gleam in my dad's eye in 69 but the worst QB room i can remember was Graham, Miller and Kordell with shattered confidence. One of the few times I thought Cowher made a huge mistake as neither Graham or Miller were ever better than Stewart and making them starters was dumb.

Butler probably rings a bell to you because of last July. Not because of Rudy.

Apparently we don’t have coaches that can develop anyone… just saying

Apparently the Steelers and Rodgers spoke again yesterday

I imagine the Steelers will not wait forever and this may have been a **** or get off of the pot conversation

The conversation ended without him signing, so it looks like he chose neither.

They were talking about this on 93.7 the fan this morning. Apparently the Steelers have a price they want to pay Rodgers but it isn't enough for him. The Steelers are content to go into the season with a QB room of Rudolph, Thompson and a rookie draft pick because it seems like they are not budging with their offer.

I’m not sure that is entirely it because allegedly the Giants offered more and he hasn’t taken that

I would hope they are going to sign someone like Flacco or Winston if they don't get Rodgers, but that would require telling him to go piss up a rope and moving on sooner rather than later.

Now Adam Schefter is saying that it is very unlikely that the Vikings will sign Rodgers, but that sounds more like informed speculation than actually knowing something.

If they decide to go bargain bin shopping I hope they don't look at Wentz or Lance. No one is going to confuse Flacco for Tom Brady but he can at least read a defense and manage a game.

This wait and see game of musical chairs is being played to the music from the first side of The James Gang Yer’ Album

Let’s see how many people get this without having to look it up
