EVERY qb not under contract (and more than a few that are) has been linked to the Steelers. And by linked, I mean that some pundit with column inches to fill says "The Steelers should take a look at A" and within hours every other pundit with column inches to fill is writing an article saying "The Steelers have been linked to QB A".

Wilson has more upside than Flacco. I blame the OL and defense more than Wilson for the 5 game skid.

When I see anyone article written by florio, I skip it. I don't think there's a fan base who likes his articles

Yep. The media's got it wrong. The Steelers aren't 'waiting on' any QB, including Rodgers. They will move along with their plan, which could very well include Rudolph as QB1 and a drafted QB.

While there was plenty of blame to go around I wouldn't rush to absolve Russ of any responsibility. In those 5 games he did a lot of running for his life just to throw it away and avoid a sack. He could have just as well stood in the pocket and thrown it at the back of Harris' legs.

I'd almost take that over Flacco. Almost.

What an absolute clown show. Should just have brought back Fields. We're not contending anyway.

Fields had more upside and potential, not that we could expect the light bulb to go on in 25, but if it did, thats a star right there. Rudolph is what he is at this point, a solid backup who may do ok as a bridge Qb for a year (on a good team with good support).

Florio has no credibility anymore PFT used to be a good football site, now he just throws stuff out there like him saying Rodgers would want 2 years 90 million from the Steelers.

Flacco has played for the Ravens and for the Browns. He must bathe in all 3 rivers first.

No harm in that. But, they haven't extended Watt yet. That should take a chunk.

Flacco still can sling the ball really well if he gets time to throw. But here in Pittsburgh he wouldn't last 3 games behind our offensive line.

Since the Oline was such a concern, Mike Tomlin should have stayed with Justin Fields over old man and immobile Russell Wilson. Fields was moving the chains and keeping TOP. At the very least once he committed to switching QB’s our idiot HC should have used both of them during all 4 qtrs. But as usual the standard is the standard and that standard seems to be the inevitable winning regular season record and 1st round playoff exit.

Agree. It was dumb to let Fields go. He was the ideal stop-gap QB until Steelers can draft one in 2026. Steelers aren't competing anyway... so signing Fields should've been a no-brainer move.

Fields has physical talent, but most of being a quarterback is between the ears. Also, the guy still can't throw a pass with touch to save his live. How is it possible that a quarterback is four years into his NFL career and he still can't throw with touch?

The only positive to this is that even though the Jets overpaid, Fields will likely still be cheaper than Rodgers, who they may not even get.
