No Rodgers, no Flacco, bring back Russ.

They sign Rodgers, I won't watch. They sign Flacco, I'll get rid of all my Steelers merch and never watch again.

You're both wrong. Wilson was signed by the Broncos and guaranteed to make $38 million last year. When they released him, the Broncos owed him $38 million minus whatever he signed for. If there was a bidding war and he signed for $40 million, the Broncos would have owed him nothing. As it was, Steelers signed him for $1.2, so the Broncos were on the hook for $38 million minus that $1.2 million, or $36.8 million.

I believe this was what Brice was trying to say. You explained it better. I remembered that the low salary by the Steelers hurt the Broncos.

I think Brice just worded it really poorly. “Going back to Denver” I think just meant Denver was on the hook for the remaining salary after the Steelers paid him 1.2

This is correct. The Broncos had to pay the difference between the the 38 million he was owed and what Russ got with his new team. So, unless Russ signed for 38 million and one cent, the Broncos still had to pay.

The broncos were on the hook for 39 million dollars it didn’t matter if the Steelers signed him, any other team, or if he sat at home. That was the remainder of his guaranteed money. He was getting that no matter what. The Steelers played zero role in that.

Again russ was getting that money no matter what as that was what remained of the guaranteed money in his contract

Not sure where this goes, but Larry O was suspended 6 games for ped use. That’s performance enhancing drugs for the perves out there.

Might not have wanted him at all. I would think Nate would take a little less to stay with Nick. I would think, I don't know him. He only got a one year deal.

We might have to draft a guard in the middle rounds, someone like Miles Frazier from LSU.

    Don’t get it either

Losing depth quickly. Someone ring Khan up and explain they have bunch of cap space left and only 6 draft picks with no 2nd.

Nope. You still don't get it.

When Russell was released by Denver he was guaranteed to make $39 million.

If he stays at home he makes $39 million paid by the Broncos.

He signed withe the Steelers last year and made his $39 million. Steelers paid $1 million and the Broncos paid $38 million.

If Russell had signed with the Steelers for $1O million, the Broncos would have only owed Russell $29 million.

I know you were trying to tear Russell down for signing a league minimum contract, but his contract value last year had nothing to do with his worth. (Haters going to Hate)

He only signed for 1 year which is understandable, makes you wonder if the team is wary, but yes this cuts the depth way down to a team that seems to lose OL very quickly.
