Favre and Rodgers apparently get along now, but that was not the case when Rodgers was drafted. Favre wasn't happy about the Packers drafting his replacement and it showed. Maybe Rodgers will be better at it. Supposedly, he tried to be there for Zach Wilson in New York. I wouldn't bet on it, though.

I don't think Rodgers is delaying this to make up his mind. I think he is waiting to see if the Vikings will get serious about going after him. He's stringing the Steelers and Giants along just in case they don't.

Its not so much a personal relationship, it just mentoring by example and your play on the field, preparing and learning how to read NFL defenses effectively ,

I think trading for Metcalf and having receivers like Metcalf and Pickens is favorable draw for Rogers to choose coming here, we need to improve our running game, I think the Vikings already have their QB, while we are in need of one, which swings the pendulum in our favor

Funny because I thought to myself it looks staged.

That's right. He clearly has a preference. Girls headed to the prom say yes immediately to the boy they want and mull it over to those they don't.

Exactly, and I think he is hoping that offer comes from the Vikings, but that may not be all that is going on here. To extend the metaphor a bit, sometimes the girl wants to keep her options open because she just wants more attention. Also, just because she wants the boy doesn't mean she doesn't want to make him work for it.

I'm sensing an underlying feeling of conflict here.

One thing I have seen about Rodgers that I don’t think is a concern is him being a locker room cancer. I don’t think that is the case, I think his teammates generally like him. Echols certainly seems to. I know there was some friction with Rodgers and Williams but I don’t think locker room cancer is one of Rodgers labels.

Lot of receivers with bus tracks on their backs might disagree with you.

Lots? Like who? Adams certainly doesnt feel that way, orchestrated his way to the Jets to play with him. Echols while not a WR certainly doesnt feel that way.

Reports are that Giants have a better offer on the table. That’s not surprising, everyone outbids the Steelers.

Steelers will wait this out and if they lose out on Rodgers they will turn to the draft and if the draft unfolds in a way that they miss out then they will either pivot to Wilson or maybe Winston or they will just ride with Rudolph.

There’s also the possibility Khan is working the phone for a trade but who would that even be?

    Jags laughed at them.
Tua maybe? No thanks, a concussion away from being a vegetable.
Purdy? Will cost a lot and probably owes most of his success to the system.
Milton? Only if it cost a late rd pick.
Willis? Sorry, had to do it.
Howell? Is he even on a team? Might be worth kicking the tires on.

No matter how it all unfolds, there are no attractive options whether a trade or free agent other than getting lucky with a draft pick. I could at least be hopeful of the unknown that comes with a rookie.

The Packers are kind of my second team since my dad is a Green & Gold die hard, so I'll try and watch them if the Steelers aren't on. Willis started two games last year and I was surprised how he looked compared to his time in Tennessee. I'm sure LaFleur had a hand in that, but in those two games and a few spot fills he had a 74.1 completion %, 3 PaTD, 1 RuTD, 0 INT, 1 Fum, and a rating of 124.8. Next face of the franchise right there. :D

Howell was still with the Seahawks last I saw.

Being reported on the Giants board that the hold up is if Minnesota wants to sign him. Apparently Aaron is waiting to see what they have to offer.
