Smart move imo...... Good backup, and he can be a starter in a pinch. It at least put some options on the board for us right now. It's obviously not the solution any of us want, but it is a start.

Can't wait to hear Cowherd's comments on this. He's been ripping the Steelers big time this week.

Well you needed a capable backup anyway.

Rodgers or Wilson may not last a season.

We won't win anything in the next few years anyways, this is more than fine. Now we have some really hard decisions to make. We should be considering trading TJ and building up the team to build around a rookie QB. Getting TJ and Cam's money off the books (and potentially cutting Minkah after 2025 if he doesn't perform) will free up a ton of money, and we can hit FA to round out the team around whichever QB we end up drafting.

Rudolph is like a stray dog that you keep driving a hundred miles away and dropping it off only to have it keep wandering back. At this point you might as well keep the dog.

I think he will be our starter. How can he be backup? We don’t even have a starter.

This is clearly not what the Steelers are thinking. Their goal is to win it and the only QB left on the market that could possibly lead them there is currently mulling it over in Maui.

I love it. When the Steelers play the Browns , and it's Pickett vs Rudolph , we will see who is better.

I am ridiculously happy about this. I can not stand Rodgers and his dragging his feet in Hawaii, makes it that much worse.

Rudolph is currently in the pole position. The Steelers probably will give Rodgers 24 hours to decide then move on.

Good, now draft a QB that you like in the middle rounds, and let's get to work.

Im ok with MR starting actually. Just so we can position ourselves for the draft in 26.

but i know Tomlin and his aging stars want to win now. If Tomlin has to rebuild that means he actually has to put some hard work in.
