Carson Palmer is a Cardinal now. In return for Palmer and a 7th round pick, the Raiders get the Cardinals' 6th round pick this year, and a conditional 7th next year.

And this is why the Raiders can never be successful. Truly awful moves by the front office.

Great move for the Cards. Ive always liked Carson Palmer. Hes a very good QB. Palmer and Fitzgerald are going to put up some serious #s and should open up the ground for Mendenhall. Arizona could surprise some people this year.

all that will go down the drain if the cards don't fix the o-line........... carson palmer is notorious for shaky play under pressure, and Arizona is the worst place to play if you actually need time to throw (or if you expect holes to run through mr. mendenhall)...

I'm surprised by the turnaround of the NFC west over the past two years.

That's a hard division to be in right now because none of those teams are pushovers.

I agree it's a real good move for the cards but I think they needed to make some sort of move to try and catch up with the rest of the division. Depending on how they do in the draft I'm expecting them to be in nearly the same situation they were in last year.

I still say Seattle and San Fran are gonna duke it out for that division. I think Russell Wilson and Percy Harvin will take it to that Cards D all day long and if that doesn't work they'll just give it to Marshawn Lynch to let him plow over people.

    I can see that.

I'll throw St. Louis in the mix though, they were nearly lights out in their division last year and have been working on that line for years. With the other long brother pick up and if they snag a good WR or three in this draft they could do some real damage.

Above all else I don't want San Fran involved anymore with the playoffs until we get #7, Seattle and us still aren't on good terms, Pittsburgh West is the least likely to do anything, so I'll take what's left.

Jeff Fisher can coach and I do think he will wind up making them a contender at some point.
