Guess Elandon Roberts isn't coming back?

 

I'm sure he isn't. I assume he competes with Peyton Wilson to start alongside Queen with Holcomb also possibly in the mix.

Might be a good situation for him.

 

I'm really confused by the Steelers' strategy so far. Especially with so much money to play with. It's doesn't make a lot of sense.

 

It sounds like Najee may be joining the Chargers.

 

Because he's not that good anymore

 

I would rather trade back into the 2nd round and get Dart.

 

I think Harrison was signed because he has played a lot of special teams snaps, I don't see him as competition with Wilson to start.

 

I have to say today was rather disappointing after the big Metcalf trade on Sunday, all they did was add Slay and Harrison. Most of the young CBs got signed already except for Murphy I think.

 

He will likely be in the ILB rotation, but I would be surprised if he starts.

Slay's not even done, not that I want him. And Metcalf was an overpay. Ugly start.

 

That's because some of these players are being designated as post June 1st cuts like Slay, those deals will become official on Wednesday.

 

I get the Wednesday part but there are reports saying it may not happen: "Cornerback Darius Slay reportedly agreed to terms earlier today with the Steelers. He has not," Florio reported. "Per a source with knowledge of the situation, there's "no deal yet" in place for Slay. Slay is indeed talking to the Steelers. The Eagles also might keep him. "Slay remains under contract with the Eagles, but he has permission to speak to other teams to discuss a possible trade. Nothing is expected to be finalized until Wednesday."

I'm not claiming to know either way though I certainly hope we're not giving up money and a pick for him.

With the DL depth in the draft this year, and IF the guy they really like is gone, then this might be a great plan, even if it is not a QB, we need youth on the D line, CB, RB..more.

 

Ian Rappaport said the Browns plan to start the season with Pickett even if they draft Ward or Sanders. Kenny will be the bridge QB until one of the rookies is ready if they even go for a QB in the first.

 

Looking at the stats, if you're going to say Slay played very well for the Eagles you can't badmouth Jackson too much for last year.

The steelers seem to put themselves in a worse position than they have to. Last year qbs with no wr's and this year wr's and qb's ... smh
