    Shedeur reminds me more of a Tua/Teddy Bridgewater type than he does a Mac Jones comp. Jones doesn't have near the same level of arm talent that Shedeur does.

    I can't remember a worse year to need a QB. Free agency and the draft are super weak.

    Cost them a 2nd, which they no longer have.

    I may be in the minority on this, but I don’t want the whole Shadeur/Deon Sanders drama. The reward is not enough to justify the risk

    It doesn't matter to me either way. They both aren't very good and we missed out on the younger options with more upside in Darnold and Fields.

    Slay is a fine pick up but he's 34. Its a one year can kicked down the road until we have to address CB again. Metcalf is a great pick up because we have an actual high end WR on the books for 5 years at a price that will look reasonable by 2026 or 2027 at the latest.

    The problem here is the bad contract we gave to Tomlin. We needed to hit that eject button after 2023 and go another direction. It appears that Tomlin has had a ton of say in the draft process over the end of KC's term and that went horribly. He was instrumental in the colossal Picket F-up, and then his decision to put Russ in last year further torpedoed this team. That decision is the reason why were here deciding between broken down Rodgers and the ghost of Russell Wilson. We needed to ride it out last year with Fields, but Tomlin is hard headed. We seemingly can't hire a competent coordinator to boot. Too afraid to fire non-performers.....

    Ownership screwed up handing the decision making keys to Tomlin, and Tomlin took those keys and drove the car off the cliff.

    @AdamSchefter

    Former 49ers CB Charvarius Ward reached agreement on a three-year deal worth up to $60 million including $35 million guaranteed and a $20 million signing bonus with the Indianapolis Colts.

    Murphy will probably be gone by the end of the day.

    How long will the Steelers drag out this QB drama :rolleyes:? Rodgers is expected to be released by the Jets on Wednesday.

    I'm sure Wilson came to the Steelers to be the starter, Fileds only started the season because of injury. And don't act like Fields was lighting up the scoreboard they averaged 17PPG and 160-170 yards a game passing.

    The Steelers should sign Kupp on a cheap deal if he gets released.

    At least Daniel Jones seems like a good guy. Very well liked in New York. Wilson is an entitled punk and a terrible player.

    Slay is not washed. He played very well for the Eagles this past season, certainly better than Jackson.

    Metcalf isn't a drama queen. He asked out because the team was rebuilding and didn't want to pay him. He's a great effort guy. You don't catch him taking plays off like Pickens.

    What makes you think he will come cheap? I'd certainly take him, but it's not like he is going to sign for the veteran minimum or something like that.

    Oh yeah, I'm assuming he will be. Watson might not play this year at all. And they traded DTR, who I can't believe anybody would want.
