I think he is probably more worried about them drafting a QB. Probably wants to know they are committed to him moving forward and building the team around him. After being handled the way he was last season I can’t say I blame him.

Not necessarily depending on whomever else is signed or drafted

But he would probably be in the pole position at the start of competition

Darnold and Metcalf. Wonder if they keep GP now. He doesn’t strike me as a guy who would like second fiddle.

isn't any player given the opportunity to start? Why have them if they are not given that? Not many want that as a demand to sign.

Fields did not state demanding the article did not state demanding you added the word “demanding”

That is what I am questioning

no this one doesn't use the word but does say ONLY if he gets this guarantee. i'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer but that is pretty much a demand in my book.

Reed is excellent despite being relatively short. I would love to see the Steelers get him.

Lol. No. Pickett was not going to be given an opportunity this past season. They promised the starting job to Wilson to get him to sign.

DK has been known to give 110% on every play, not take plays off, we draft a talented WR say second round
and trade GP for that second to a team that may take him It is a win/ win situation. I love it.

Yeah, and I watched Chiefs vs Steelers on Netflix, Xmas day. Chiefs O line was phenomenal compared to Steelers. Chiefs ran into the buzzsaw that is the best D line in the NFL...aka Eagles with Jalen Carter.

Steelers continue talking to Justin Fields and Russell Wilson, but…Aaron Rodgers has emerged as a quarterback option in Pittsburgh, per league sources.
Rodgers and the Steelers are expected to talk and explore a reunion. The idea of Rodgers playing for Mike Tomlin is in play.

Maybe I am mistaken, but didn't Arthur Smith having much praise for Justin Fields
last year? Maybe if the OC would make changes to his offense to better accommodate
Justin Fields, he could become serviceable until we find the proverbial franchise QB?
I would hope any deal with any QB would be incentive laden, IE turn overs, completion
    percentage touchdown passes etc.
