The Steelers made Fields look better than he is with that conservative offense. If another team overpays for the QB it's all the better.

Saw uncomfirmed reports that the Seahawks are going to sign Darnold. I didn't want Fields, but if he goes to the Jets, the Steelers are even more screwed.

I found at least 6 articles on this and not one of them is based on a credible piece of fact

    It’s just clickbait

I think because our QB situation is such a mess, wether we resign Fields or not, we will be aggressive to get Dart, do it, take some risks

If not then we will draft Shough in the 2nd, i believe,

So....... get used to it, if we get Dart that wld be awesome, if not we will get Shough in the second it looks like,

Shough looks pretty good, good enough to consider drafting, throws like a skinnier Ben Roethlisberger, live arm... he is my #2, if we can't get Dart

Given everything I have read about Fields and how he handled the questions about him not being named the starter during those 6 games it wouldn’t fit his personality to have this attitude.

More likely he just wants to test the market and get the best deal for himself and possibly drive up the cost for the Steelers if they are intent on keeping him.

Shough will be available in the 4th round there is no reason to reach for him the second.

There should be plenty other QB's in 3rd or 4 th round also.

MT philosophy is that ball security is paramount in winning games, which is probably true.
It seems like it puts much stress on any QB's and the Oc's in the modern era. Qb's are not equipped to read defenses,
and our recent OC's due not put players in position to succeed. So until we change the current coaching staff I am afraid we will continue
seeing the same boring offense that the Steelers have rolled out for the last 7-8 years.

This is truth. It would be silly for anyone to expect him to do otherwise, as a one year QB... actually 6 game QB. His agent is doing his job.

    Maybe , maybe not

If we miss out on Dart and Shough gets poached because we're so confident he'll be around in the fourth, i think that is just making a bad situation worse. Be aggressive, take risks,

If Dart goes early, no shame in reaching for Shough to lock up this year

What "other" QBs are you thinking of?

Let's compare the Steelers to other model franchises on drafting RBs:
These two QBs are not Day 1 starters. Both will need to sit at least a year, maybe two. Then next year's QB class rolls in with better prospects and you have a (likely) backup QB sitting on your roster. My point, drafting a backup QB anywhere before rd3 is not good value.

Not drafting a back up QB, I like both of these guys because I think they can be our starting QB, maybe not on Day 1 obviously,

Wait until next year? No. we are not good enough, our QB situation is that bad, and there are no guarantees next year, these guys I like as starters (eventually)

I see Dart starting in the middle of next season if Fields or who ever else falls flat, Shough not sure,

Wait until next year for me is not an option, but I agree with you, I would never draft a back up QB in the early rounds
