You forgot one; D Carr is also in the mix as a fallback...

Whether it's Carr, Fields, or Darnold they need the Khan man to make some moves and move up to draft Dart, then whoever they sign will play mentor, the opportunity is now, it's not wait until next year, do it, the QB position is that important, the DL and RB class is deep, they can wait, but the QB class this year sucks, Sanders is easily a poor man's Bridgewater (w unnessassary attitude) let other teams draft Ward...

here we go again if we bring back fields.
    https://steelersdepot.com/2025/03/r...ers-warren-sharp-says-youre-kidding-yourself/

gets us nowhere. a step back if you ask me. terrible move wasting cap space we could use for other positions just to get a similar result. i'm serious about getting guys like rush, allen and rudolph to save a ton of money and put players around them and a draft pick or two at the position. what the heck will we gain doing this sideways move? why make a move for a big time receiver if we don't have the qb to get him the ball? why sign watt to a huge payday if it's wasted?

Going with Rush, Allen, and/or Rudolph is even more of a wasted season.

If you're wanting to tank the season then the trio of Rush, Allen and Rudolph is a good idea. The Steelers would struggle to win 3 or 4 games and get a top 5 pick in 2026.

i doubt that and don't want all 3 but we draft at least one. i don't see a lot of difference with a guy that was replaced as the starter last year to now be our starter for the near future. put the pieces around these guys and save the money wasted on signing fields. this thought of him being better than ever before is a pipe dream. i have watched him all through college and in the pro's and he ain't it. just because he's convenient is no reason to waste watt and minkah and heywards last years. we will be no further along. we aren't contending for anything at this rate. i say draft two QB's and let the chips fall where they may. no i don't want to tank the season. get the lines fixed and draft smart. bring in metcalf and another good RB. don't waste 2-3 years of hoping and praying and wasting money on a player that isn't the fix. have a player or two that can help the draft pick. fields isn't that guy.

rush is 9-5 in the nfl. mason rudolph is 9-8-1 in the nfl. allen is 7-12 in the nfl. justin fields is 14-30 in the nfl.

Great album. Crazy that Go Your Own Way was written about Nicks and Buckinhams breakup and she had to sing that song multiple times a week with the lyrics shacking up is all you want to do. Ouch.

This makes me nervous. I like Dart, but his stock in most mocks I've seen lately is top to middle second round. So for the Steelers to get him they would have to either use their first, or trade up past at least the Jets at 42, and I don't think he's worth that. I'd rather they sit back and look at Ewers or Howard in the third or fourth.

I think they should take a QB at some point this draft, but I don't want them to overreach either.

purdy was the last pick in the draft. brady was a 6th rounder. these draft blow hards have no idea how these guys will end up. if you need one, you better be drafting or trading or you will sit and spin your wheels and waste your good players careers. two of these draft picks won a ton of games and played for the national championship. others were quite good as well. all depends on where they go and who coaches them and how they invest in learning the craft. some that just rely on God given talent may do well but may never be all they can be. brains make a huge difference a lot of times. draft baby draft.

Dart is more limited than Kenny. If they can get him late, sure go for it, but reaching for project players has become our calling card.

Good QBs are rarely allowed to hit free agency.

Every draft choice is a project

It’s 32 teams not just the Steelers

No he’s not. Pickett class was historically bad.

You have been posting this since the day of the draft and it still makes no sense. The ability of the other players in that draft is irrelevant to what Pickett can and cannot do.

Dart will be there in the first round for the Steelers but he will be long gone before they draft in the second. So the chances are pretty slim that he will be a Steeler unless they like him so much they trade up into the early second round to get him but I doubt that will happen.

It makes plenty of sense, you just missed the point.

I feel Dart is better than Pickett. I feel this whole class is better than Picketts class which was historically bad. The later point is fact, the prior point we will learn if true or not in time.

No, I didn't miss the point. I pointed out that the failings of other players in Pickett's class do not make him a better or worse quarterback. Being part of a bad quarterback class does not make him a bad quarterback. If you want to argue that he shouldn't have been taken in the first, which is perfectly valid in hindsight, isn't the fear of another Dan Marino situation the more likely reason than just wanting to draft a quarterback in the first round no matter what?
