Schefter reported the Bengals want to sign Higgins long term, which he says will be around $30M per year. He also thinks Chase will get re-signed for about $40M per year. The Bengals are already paying Burrow $50M per year. $120M per year for 3 players? Doesn't that leave something around $100M for the rest of the team to share?

I do understand this level of money is beyond my own comprehension. But is this a sound way to run a franchise?

Having Burrow, Higgins, and Chase makes them dangerous, but I also wonder how they can put a decent team around those three if they pay them that much.

Absolutely not. That is way overpaying at the receiver position. That is a build outside to inside approach and the opposite of the Eagles and Rams. That got the Bengals to a Superbowl once, but a second time is looking doubtful, especially with the Chiefs, Ravens, Bills in the same conference.

I would rather the Steelers focus on the inside right now, O-Line and D-Line. The key to beating Jackson and Burrow is with pressure and a pass rush.

'Serviceable' is the key word for the 2025 QB. The Steelers aren't contenders for the 2025 season, way too many holes and uncertainty at the QB position.

Our offense in general is just not very talented and has to essentially be rebuilt. They are going to have to roll the dice on #2 WR in Free Agency or later rounds of the draft, but not break the bank.

I get the feeling the Bengals are not worried about their defense because they have to play OUR OFFENSE and clevelands
Same applies to our Defense. Bengals will score 100 in the 1st 3 quarters
Just win the division is their plan.

Adam's isn't coming here...... if he's released, he will only go to a team with a solid QB room.... he went to the Raiders to play with his college qb, and his trade to the Jets was obvious with his history with Aaron Rodgers..
He's going where there's solid qb play and we don't currently have any qb under contract yet....
We are not trading for a wr because we can't afford to lose the draft capital, and no free agent is gonna sign to a team that doesn't have a settled qb situation.,.. our newest wr will come through the draft

Hoping they bring in Bryson Nesbit from UNC.

Initially he was a low round or udfa and then I read a possible day 2 pick.

There is no telling with some of these analcyst 98s.

He said he would love to play for Tomlin. He’s a 33 year old WR looking for a new contract, don’t think he can afford to be too picky.

The obvious choices, Chiefs and Bills.

49ers just let an aging but younger Deebo go, doubt they’d be interested. Eagles don’t need him. Lions don’t need him. Vikes don’t need him.

If he’s not landing on a team that is knocking on the door for a SB, his choices come down to teams with a QB and comfort. Steelers fall in the later.

    Comfort or QB or both

We don’t seem to have QB at the moment

Thats what I mean. QB play wouldn’t be what draws Adams here but comfort could be. When you compare how his last year went in Vegas and how it would be under Tomlin, that has to appeal to him.
