mitch trubisky started 57 NFL games and he's not a starting QB that we should want either. he actually has a winning record too.

But non the less he is/was a starting QB

As is Fields who most likely will continue for at least one more game to be a starting NFL quarterback

Just maybe not one we want

From what I've seen, the chatter stemmed from an article on Bleacher Report that suggested Arizona trade for him to help their struggling d-line. It didn't say the Eagles wanted to trade him per se, just that with Milton Williams and Jalen Carter on tap for extensions the time would be right for dealing Davis if they didn't plan on shelling out for him as well.

No worries, it was tongue-in-cheek. I've commented on a few of your posts lately, along with jeh, but you've only responded to him.

But like I said, he's much more charismatic. And better with punctuation.

He took care of the ball better , he showed some Improvement as a passer , next Gen stats show that he is actually faster than Lamar ...
In a correctly called Offense a running QB really needs just a few throws from the pocket.. A Deep ball to either sideline and the ability to throw a quick slant to either side..The premise is the deep ball forces Defenses to protect the sideline and the ability to throw that slant backside forces Defenses to have help in the middle ..

This opens up the zone read option and the zone read option boot game .. Both of these have the pass reads above as pass options depen
Fields is faster per next gen stats , he improved as a decision maker , he improved as a passer ...He needs some skilled players ,in a running QB system better pass catching TE'S ..A faster RB even though Henry is big he is much faster than Harris.. Henry hit a 21.8 mph in the NFL I can't find one for Harris ..A true #2 at WR you have to balance the field to force Defenses into coverages that can be ran on..

Throws a running QB needs to make from the pocket ..A deep ball to either side and a slant to either side ..This forces sideline coverage deep and middle help deep for the slant or backside slants...This opens the RPO Zone read and the RPO Zone read boot game ...

The running QB needs touch on boots to hit the TE late release or the TE drag also being able to zip a deep post and a deep flag allows deep routes to cross and confuse zone coverage or disrupt man coverage .. Fields has the Arm in fact he tends to throw his deep balls on a line to much, so he can learn to take something off IMO...

So IMO sign him get the weapons he needs and cater the Offense to the RPO game...If he works out great if not we will have weapons the new QB will need anyway .. So IMO if we are serious about winning the skilled positions need to be the focal point...

I saw that too but had to grab the one for argument sake :smiley1:

Trubisky's is odd too says he has 12 starts for the Steelers with a 2-5 record.

Guess the reliever or closer got a few wins or looses.

Yeah, agree. The past 7 or 8 drafts we've NOT taken BPA. We keep drafting for needs. Then we get busts, and have more needs. Take BPA. Even if its TE Warren or one of the really impressive DLs or CBs or WRs. Heck if a franchise tackle or guard is sitting there at 21, take him.

If a stud pass rusher falls to us, consider trading one of Watt or Highsmith for more picks in 2026, a QB friendly draft, etc.

Go back to BPA, take the highly rated player that falls. This is what Philly has done past 2 drafts and their freaking loaded. UGA DT, best player in the 2023 draft fell into their laps after 9 idiot teams passed on him. Last year two of the top 3 DBs fell to them and they didn't hesistate.

Reminds me of the two guys talking. One asked the other: "Do you know the difference between ignorance and indifference?" The other guy replies: "Actually, I don't know and I don't care!" :drinks:

That reminds me of two guys talking. They're old friends. One is a religious man, raised by his daddy, who was a preacher. His friend, whose daddy was a rancher who would muse about the wonders of the world with his son while looking up at the stars at night, is a bit more agnostic.

One day the religious one quips, "Now, c'mon. I just don't understand how people can look at all the stars and planets, all the animals and beings on this Earth, all the forces of nature, and not think there was a higher power behind it, that put it all in motion, do you?" His friend chews a little on a stalk of wheat in the corner of his mouth and says, "Alright. But first, let me ask you a question. Why it is a deer, a cow and a horse all eat grass, but yet their droppings look entirely different?"

The man of religion thinks for a minute, and says, "I don't know." The other replies, "Well, why would I want to have a debate about the mysteries of the universe with you, when you don't know sh!t?"
