Wrong. They do not run a pure 4-3. They use 4 linemen in certain packages.

Their base is 3-4. Penny, Dollar, and Copper packages are 3 DL. The Nickel Package is 4-2-5. Dime is 4-1-6.

They can find all the run stoppers they want it still won't help if the other 9 or 10 guys aren't in the right spot. You play subpackage football where you have 2 dl on the field with undersized linebackers against a 6 man front you're going to get mauled especially when your guys just want to guess gaps and get blocked.

 

Matt Williamson thinks Grant's hand use sucks. He's an athlete that is gonna need coaching. That is something the Steelers lack.

 

Heyward is an All-Pro and the DL coach also helps coach the edge rushers .

Washington is supposedly shopping DT. Jonathan Allen at the combine. By cutting Larry'O that would pay for half of Allen's salary for 2025.

Move seems weird as Washington has a large amount of cap space, and what team doesn't want to have extra D-Lineman to swap in and out of the Lineup.

Allen missed half the season last year with a torn peck, but should be 100% for the 2025 season.
