I'm not advocating for signing Rodgers. I'm just saying that if you look at what's out there, who's better? Russell Wilson on his best day is not as skilled a player as Rodgers is. One could make the argument that Fields still has upside, which Rodgers surely does not.

I don't want either either. Options are limited. The Steelers get to pick between 3 stop gaps. Or they could trade up and draft one of this year's busts.

Covid attacks your organs, there are many people who never got vaccinated who have a slew of health problems now, including heart problems.

Everyone is different. I got vaccinated once and got covid at least once maybe twice and haven’t been affected in any other way from either.

Sorry about yours and Wards losses. Let’s bring this back to football now.

I will stop watching if he is our QB. I would rather Cliff Stoudt. I am sure he has something left.

I don’t know because that Jets team was pretty talented and he did nothing with them. If it were the earlier Rogers then absolutely but he’s too much of a headache compared to his production. That said it’s either him or Russ. That’s if Russ doesn’t go to the Raiders. I say the heck with it let’s see what Fields has. He’s cheap so we can put weapons around him. Who knows he might be decent. Look what Hurts just did because he had all that talent around him. I guess TBD!

Off topic, Maher's rant on streaming channels and technology was pretty funny. His latest episode on HBO.

He is right about switching games, channels etc on Rokus and streaming devices. The old cable boxes were much better. In Hulu live app, I can switch quickly between Fox and CBS local stations, but if a game is on Netflix or Prime and there's games on at the same time a game is on ESPN, NBC, CBS or Fox.... forget about it. It's an epic maneuver.

I met him a couple of years ago and he does still look fit

He also has a great sense of humor and told a funny story about him and Jack Lambert during his rookie training camp

Who lied? There was risk because it was a vaccine that wasn't tested for nearly as long as normal, but it largely worked and society returned to relative normal. It does more to mitigate symptoms than stop the spread, but that's what was needed.

Did you actually lose your brother? If so, I'm very sorry for your loss.

Wide receivers affect more than just the plays when they catch the ball. You have watched the game long enough to know that. I don't know how anybody could watch the 2024 Steelers and not realize that wide receiver is a desperate need.

If they want a top 10 pick then they will have to trade up for it, the team isn't going to tank just for the chance to get a franchise QB.

I agree with that and would not want them to take a dive to get a pick either. The problem that I worry about is that they are building a team designed to have a winning record rather than a team designed to win a super bowl. I think that that long streak of no losing seasons has become its own juggernaut and is now the focus.

He has nothing left to prove. Stafford likely has HOF stats and a Super Bowl ring. His stats are probably better than Eli's.

So? What did Brady have to prove in his final season?

He is 37. That may be old in football terms, but in life terms, he is a young man. Maybe he loves playing football and wants to keep enjoying it. Just because you don't think he has any more goals to attain doesn't mean he sees it that way.

This team could be picking the top ten in 2026 unless they plug some serious holes, rethink this strategy of relying on the defense early in the year to win games with no offensive output, and wearing the defense out down the stretch.

Our offense lacks talent, our trenches aren't good enough, the schemes are problematic, and the coaching is not good enough. We don't have a franchise QB either.

Dallas went 12-5 for three straight years and never fixed their roster issues and this season the wheels came off. We vastly overperformed going 10-7 this season with two sub-par QBs.

This could easily be a 5-6-win team next season.

4 years and 6 games of chances

Next someone will claim Rudolph wasn’t given a chance

I agree and another possible point is the only talent we really have ...Sometimes young guys can learn more from a peer more than a mentor or a Coach I see Egbuka as a solid WR that runs solid routes and has his head screwed on straight .. Maybe him and GP could feed off each other and grow together ?

Either way the WR room is a joke and needs multiple upgrades ...

I was vaccinated 3 times and the first 2, I got Covid symptoms for approximately 24 hours after the shot, but they were gone after that. 3rd shot didn't bother me.

Hell.... I got full blown flu, missed 3 days of work.... from a flu shot about 20 years ago. Go figure.

I don't doubt you got sick. You can't catch the flu from the vaccine though.
The Covid thing is still weird to me. We lost many people we knew to Covid. 2 people I knew died from the vaccine. My son had a weird reaction to the vaccine. Because he reacted to the first one they wouldn't give him the second shot.
I know people still get militant over it. But from my perspective, I let others choose for themselves and hope for the best for them.

Three years and six games, not four. Last season was his fourth in the NFL.

I had a good friend/co-worker who died from Covid Pneumonia in early '22. He didn't get vaccinated for Covid. Would the Covid Vax made a difference? Don't know.

I think recent history says they are building a team to hover around .500.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are in QB hell among other things. Not just us. Look around the NFL. Tough getting and keeping a franchise guy. We are not sniffing the SB for the next few seasons. Nothing in the free agent market looks good. The older legs would get pummeled a lot. I understand why some say just run it out there with Fields. I'm hoping to get lucky in the draft but I'm starting to think as long as we keep this culture it won't matter.
