The team doesn't care about that non losing season streak, the Chiefs got Mahomes without tanking for a top draft pick and so did the Ravens with Lamar.

Stafford would be on IR by week 2 behind our O-line. At least Wilson and Fields can sometimes evade pass rush. Stafford would be toast.

And why the hell would Stafford even want to play for Steelers? He's got a ring and he's been in the NFL since smart phones were invented. He should retire if Rams move on.

This is worse than Michael Vick, at lest Vick paid his
    Debt to society.

They don’t need to sign a WR in the first no matter what

A DL who is involved in 80 plays a game is more valuable than a WR who is involved maybe 6 plays a game

The Screen shot I posted was from Draft Kings. They want your money not your clicks. These are the current betting odds, so it is really not a Smoke/Fire kind of thing.

Now, the video I posted was from a talking head, so he wants your clicks.

    It is Funny....
I remember when the betting line came out last year, about the Steelers being the favorite to sign Russell Wilson, and I tried like hell to bet against the Steelers signing Russell. All the website would take my money for betting that the Steelers would sign Russell, but I was never able to place a bet against the Steelers signing Russell. Turned out I would have lost my shirt on that bet, if anyone would have ever taken my money.

Kinda like the George Allen Redskins. Where old football players go to die.
Coincidentally, Allen's Skins never had a losing season. Sound familiar?

You do realize Rogers lied about getting the Covid
    vaccination
putting his coaches and former teammates in grave danger.

Why look at the big board the guys with the most talent that will be there are in the WR and RB spots and we need both badly .. As I stated looking at the TE spot not as hard now, but whoever the QB is we need fire power...

Just so I have some idea what you are saying please define this

And just so you know where I’m coming from I have a higher appreciation for a guy who impacts 80 plays a game than a guy who impacts a fraction of that

https://www.pff.com/draft/big-board?season=2025 Look at the ranks of RBS I think all but the top rated guy will be there at our pick in round 2..

https://www.pff.com/draft/big-board?season=2025 I think the 14th. and the the 25th. ranked will be there in round 1..Then look at that position 5 more ranked in the top 60 great potential come back for our 3rd. pick..

I don't want us to get the 5th. best DL instead of the 2nd. or 3rd. best WR and I don't want the 5th. best CB when we can get the 2nd. best RB and another WR ranked higher than either of those spots..

IMO if we are going DL or CB we need to be aggressive and move up , but we have to many needs IMO..

I want the player that will impact a game the most

I am not hung up on pundit rankings

Me to I just think it will be the WR spot because of the way I think the draft will go.. If we had the number 5 pick then I would want us to pick one of those Impact players at DL or CB as well..Shoot if we was that high I would not mind moving back up ang getting 2 , but they simply will be gone before we pick..

So IMHO we should work on the Defense during FA and attack the draft for young future studs for the Offense .. Plus the more talent we have at the skill spots the better chance we will have to lure a good FA QB in the future .. Plus our division is a beast we have to be able to score or we are toast.. KC let there skill guys leave and it showed all year ...We literally have 1 legit talent on the entire Offense that's just never going to cut it...

It appears you are basing this on subjective pundit rankings rather than the actual impact value of a player

If based on what you are suggesting a WR has some random number assigned to them say 87.3 and a DL is ranked 87.2 there is no question the DL is the pick

To me signing Aaron Rodgers is tantamount to saying we want to surrender

By the way where are the people who wanted us to sign him a year or two ago

It's actually kind of brilliant if your plan is to tank the year and go after a high draft pick QB.

Otherwise, I have no idea what they'd be thinking.

Both of those are teams that rebuilt the team around the quarterback. Not something the Steelers seem to do. Our style of play is to shove square pegs into triangle holes.

There's always a chance that you could find that perfect guy that gets to the NFL and elevates his game way beyond what he did in college. The Tom Brady type. However, would you rather spend four decades looking for that person, or take a chance on a top 10 pick QB?
