Deuce got his game in Ireland. That's all that mattered.

I would have preferred for them to move on, there must be up and coming assistant Oline coaches across the league that would relish this job and I can’t imagine Meyers contract would be a big stumbling block in terms of the cost of letting him go early.

He did have misfortune last year with Fautanu and Daniels missing the season but even still the Line really did look so poor at times.

Arthur Smith was an Oline coach himself at one stage and presumably will have a big hand in things.

mccorrmick had many struggles that many didn't see. if you watch the film it's is there to see. many times he was the weak link. so no he didn't do that well. i like him and hope they eventually move him to the left side where he used to play in college. they have work to do with him and it's difficult to do in season.

this shows some of what i am talking about.

I heard that question asked a couple of time about moving McCormick back to his natural side at Left.

Ramon said on his show that if McCormick plays RG again this year, he will probably stay at RG.

What the heck is “a natural position”

Is this something they are innately born with

And don’t use the “that’s what they played in college” response because that doesn’t mean anything

Kevin Dotson..... ring any bells??? One of the best RGs currently in the league, and Pat Meyer and company made him play LG when he was here in Pittsburgh.

So Glad Khan traded away this Pro Bowl player for a pick swap.

It’s anything Brice can complain about. He can’t wrap his head around how moving two players vs one impacts things on the line. He thinks it makes more sense to move a veteran that’s never played lg over to lg than to move Dotson there who had played lg. also can’t wrap his head around the fact this is Kahn and weidl’s team and they’re going to construct the roster the way they think is best.

Frazier played as expected. McCormick not as well, but also couldn't expect miracles from a mid rounder.

Sometimes players are just too solid with fundamentals for a coach to screw them up.

The key with OL coach is how does the OL as a group look and function. I was not impressed. A few too many plays with OL blocking each other, having no one to block or releasing a defender as if they expected a help block and defefnder gets a free look at the RB or QB.

He is not a good coach. I don't know how the OC affects the OL coach, maybe not ALL of the deficiencies are on Meyer, but they need a better OL coach regardless.

I guess throwing $50 million extension at an underwhelming head coach that is now officially about $45 million overpaid kind of ties frugal Rooney's hands. I am so deflated at how accepted mediocrity is and how well rewarded it is with this team. They're so afraid of a 13 loss season they won't even take a small risk to get back to 13 wins and a playoff victory. Sad times.

The off-season still has a long way to go, but the few moves so far aren't moving the needle toward the right, instead its flickering to the left. Thats about where most Steelers fans enthusiasm is at as well, funny how it mirrors the Front Office's caring level.

The ownership is just gonna ride out the coaches contracts even that means squandering the remaining talent left on Defense. When those contract are up then the defense will need to be rebuilt. We are going to be in a counter cyclical period where the d ages out opposite the offense and vice versa. We could genie blink ourselves to this every moment next year and we will be talking about the exact same ****. I am not going to be upset either because this is exactly how it is going to go so if I accept that it is fait accompli then I have no right to be upset when that plays out.

And Dotson is still mediocre at pass blocking no different than here

Yeah, that was probably traumatic for for him. "We're the Steelers, dammit! We don't fire bad coaches! We let them go peacefully when their contract expires. We're not a franchise that's going to show urgency. Urgency is just desperation with lipstick on it."
