If I look at his stats he has. Really disappeared with his turnovers the last two seasons. He has 1 turnover since 2023. From 2018 to 2023 he had 32 Int’s and Fumble recoveries. Also in that time frame he had 7 TD’s and none since 2023. His tackles have remained consistent but when I watched him play after the injury shortened season of 2023 he is not nearly as aggressive nor is he taking great angles to the ball carriers. I know a lot of people have said trade him but stats don’t lie and you won’t get much of a return at this point. I just can’t believe how much he has fallen off his game the last 2 seasons. In the back of my mind, I think that the hit he put on Nick Chubb really affected him mentally. To me, he became less aggressive after that moment. One final thought. How in the world do these underachievers keep going back to the pro bowl? Do the people voting even watch the games?

Keep Watt, Elliott, Herbig, Highsmith, P. Wilson, Queen, JPJ, Roberts..... cut or trade everybody else! DL and DB need total overhaul.

Not that it takes away from your point, but Minkah has a total of 20 interceptions, 5 fumbles recovered, and 5 touchdowns over his career.

One stat that concerns me a bit more is is the QB rating when he's targeted, 127.6. That's his largest since the front half of 2019 with the Dolphins. He didn't like how he was being utilized there, being used up in the box more. Over the last two years he's been sent on a blitz 23 times, the most since his first two years in the league. I don't think blitzing is the best use of his skillset, and it brings him up closer to the line.

I'm concerned - i've seen him taking some bad angles and missing a few tackles recently as well - but I'm also wary of how Austin/Tomlin are using him.

He was not happy at the end of the season. He refused several interviews with the media after the Baltimore game. I can see him requesting a trade.

we lose kazee. minkah not what he once was. watts our draft pick had a neck injury (not good for a safety). yes we need another corner but may need a safety as well. elliott is the best we have right now.

Not sure if this is a green font situation, but you would cut Cam after an 8 sack season? I think he had as many pass defenses as Surtain.

I think Kazee stays, there are worse db's on this Steeler team that must go purge them and all the deadwood on the DL.

i'd rather bring rowe back. he said he wants to come back here. then tomlin can run his 3 safety defense.

I am all in for bringing in productive players, if Rowe has anything left bring him in for a look.

My thoughts on Minkah, yes, yes they are playing him way out of position to be effective. However on a few occasions when he was in position he looks slower and could not get to where he should of. Not sure if it's his age or not in shape or what. Overall not a good look for such a high price safety.

If you listen to the Scouts Eye podcast Fitz is not the problem. In fact, he has been the solution in 2024, playing a lot of single high and preventing the explosive plays.

i've seen him 30 to 40 yards downfield when lined up. that's like 11 on 10. how does that help? explosive plays my butt. 15 at a time don't take to long to explode into the end zone.

If he’s lined up that deep it’s because being told to line up that deep. The standard “we don’t live in our fears (but we really do)” defense.

Their secondary isn't great but I don't recall them getting beat repeatedly for long TDs.

Why would he request trade? He has it made here, where do you
think he would like to go?

I'd assume he'd like to go to a team that would allow him to play to his strengths and to a team where he can win a SB. Did you not see his body language the last several weeks, even when he gave interviews.
