McCord s name should be watched around here. He's one of those good solid prospects in this draft. There are several of those qbs in this class. It would be unfortunate if we don't grab one of these guy's.

Practice starts today. I hate the game is played on a Thursday. Saturday is so much more convenient.

I think it should be the Saturday before the Super Bowl. Next Saturday would be more ideal, but that's the day of the Sr. Bowl and hard for scouts to be at two places at once.

tom arth is the qb coach. it doesn't mean they go into the season just playing defense. you have to have somebody on the field to take the snap besides the punter. :smiley1::cool:

Taking the snap may be the only requirement

This is what I am watching. Hoping to never see Pat Meyers name popup on an attendance list.

Cobee Bryant is a name I've seen mocked to the Steelers around the 4th

The NFL Network panel has been going crazy over Efton Chism. They wondered how he would do against D1 competition coming from Eastern Washington but said that he was the best player on the field as soon as he stepped on it.

Keeping an eye on him, McCord and another WR, Thronton who is 6’5”

    All turned heads last week.

More people to keep an eye on. Going to have a slew of DL to pick from. They can fix that side of the line in a hurry.

McCord continues to impress, being said that he is far and away the best QB there this week.

Chism and Croskey-Merritt. They may be the two missing pieces we need

Croskey Merritt was explosive last night with 97 yards rushing and 2 TD's. He only played one game last season for Arizona before being injured but he was clearly the best back in the game last night.

@Hanratty#5@Hanratty#5 more buzz for Chism, he’s impressing a lot.

On the edge, Ponder and Walker had good week of practice and followed up with a good game. How can ya not like a guy with the name Johnny Walker.

Croskey-Merrit had a good game as mentioned earlier in this thread.

I was disappointed McCord didn’t play. Hope that was for injury related reasons and not a business decision.

I guess playing it on Thurs makes sense, playing is on the same weekend with the pro bowl flag game is heavy competition.

Efton Chism was definitely the big winner for the week. He broke all of Cooper Kupp's receiving records in college.

    WR Jimmy Horn Colorado.

I am not sure why the Steelers would ask a player not to play? I think Asking this would paint a BIGGER target on a player to make sure other teams look at him.

https://sports.yahoo.com/steelers-show-significant-interest-shifty-125347807.html#:~:text=According to a report by,during the week of practice.
According to a report by No Buffin Around Media, the Steelers were among the teams that asked Horn not to play in the Shrine Bowl itself on Thursday night, having seen enough of him during the week of practice.

Can Teams send invites to the Combine? After the Steelers told him to not play in the game, he received an invite to the NFL combine.
Another one of the Colorado Buffaloes standouts, Jimmy Horn Jr., has received an invite to the NFL Scouting Combine, scheduled from Feb. 27 to March 2, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

This comes after the wide receiver decided to skip the East-West Shrine Bowl, and several teams are heavily interested in the young star.
