I think most of us would take a step back in terms of regular season record if it meant hope for the future with better draft assets and a potential QB. There is no hope now just the same crap every season. Let me guess next year we sign Fields or Wilson get 9/10 wins and either barely miss the playoffs or get in as a 6/7 seed and beat by 20 in a playoff game that’s over by halftime. Safest bet in sports. I honestly think the most important thing to this franchise including Tomlin is this non losing season streak even when they know the conservative play it safe approach will never result in postseason success.

I would agree, but even a decent QB, surrounded by talent can get you there, Jalen Hurts is not 'elite', but the front office certainly knows how to build around him, line, RB'd, WR's. For years our D has been the highest paid in the league, no Russ and Fields are not the guys to get you there, but how about getting the talent around them to at least be competitive.
