I think most of us would take a step back in terms of regular season record if it meant hope for the future with better draft assets and a potential QB. There is no hope now just the same crap every season. Let me guess next year we sign Fields or Wilson get 9/10 wins and either barely miss the playoffs or get in as a 6/7 seed and beat by 20 in a playoff game that’s over by halftime. Safest bet in sports. I honestly think the most important thing to this franchise including Tomlin is this non losing season streak even when they know the conservative play it safe approach will never result in postseason success.

 

agreed. getting knocked out but looking good doing it creates the same results. as long as people keep coming to see you getting knocked out the management still gets paid.
