I wonder if Vikings even offered Darnold the backup role?

 

I would like to see the Steelers sign Justin Fields to Sam Darnold's 2024 $10 million contract this year.

I think giving Justin Fileds a 1 year prove it contract for $10 million would be about right.

 

I'm not saying Darnold won't be available but that X account is a nobody and JJ is already practicing.

 

He played 2024 for $10M and certainly out played that

Why would the Vikings pay more than that for a backup

Why would he play for less than that when he most certainly can get more elsewhere

 

What about the 4 year contract he had where he did prove it

Exactly and just throwing bodies at the issue won’t fix the issue. They need to look at the coaches and the scheme first.

 

Darnold had a good year but I can't get behind signing him to a big contract. What kind of numbers do you all think he'll get?

 

I think in the hands of a new O-Line coach this young line could turn out to be pretty good. FIRE PAT MEYER NOW!!!!!

 

Daniel Jones's contract with the Giants was 4 year $160 million. I think after the year Darnold just had, he will be looking for something similar.

Andy is old although not in comparison to you

He hasn’t played much in a couple of years and his play has been very mediocre

I’m not promoting Darnold but he is younger and has something good recently

 

With proper coaching there is every reason this line could be much better next year

Mediocre maybe but that is an upgrade over poor

And better things should come
