Oh, that's right. It WAS Hack. His "You Play GM" submission was pretty strong.

Interesting tweet. I don't know how I feel about Bradshaw. I always liked him a lot with the Giants (if they didn't bring in Jacobs to finish up his work, his numbers might have been insane) but always felt he was very injury-prone and, again, I think his running style is still a bit similar to what we already have (although, admittedly, of higher quality than the horses currently in the stable). I really think, if we're looking to add a rb, I'd like to see a speed guy (but not a midget like Rainey who went down every single time the wind blew a certain direction).

Ha, well, he's not here yet. Jacks was the most impressive, Haley wasn't even on anyones radar. I fought him tooth and nail over it, I thought never in a million years they bring him in here. We'll find out soon enough if he is right on him being a good choice too, ay Jack ;)

You wan't to draft 2 RB's??? I prefer they don't spend 1 pick on a back let alone 2. Bradshaw is exactly the type of quality FA signing that would do well here. Sign him to a 2 year contract and keep your picks for other areas.

How many draft picks do we have? How many positions do we need to fill? Uh drafting 2RB's is completely out of the question.

Haley's the man, write it down. (as a certain young and brash QB with the Steelers once said)

LOL i remember peaple saying the same thing when we signed Duce, I forget how did that wrk out again, i f we spent a pic on a 3rd then another on a comp pic i dont think that would hurt us to bad.... I BET $ we pick a back with one of the first 4 pics, so might as well get ready 4 it

So because Duce didn't work out they never should try again? How about the Bus? That worked out ok huh. And if they don't sign a FA back, then they have to get one in the draft, I'm ok with that but no way in hell they draft 2 rb's, not a chance.

Free agent Ahmad Bradshaw will visit the Steelers this week.
Bradshaw, who is recovering from yet another foot operation, shed his walking boot last week, but held off on making visits until he was just a little bit healthier. The physical may be the most important part of Bradshaw's visit, and a deal could come together quickly if the Steelers like what they see. Pittsburgh badly needs a running back who can sustain drives. Bradshaw may go on to visit Green Bay if he escapes the Steel City without a contract. Mar 26 - 9:17 PM

I say wait until after the draft. I not sure he is durable enough.

He won't be available after the draft. The Jets and a couple of other teams are also interested.

If he passes his physical which I think he will, I bet he's a Steeler by the end of the week. This would be a very good signing and would free up a draft pick, sign him to a 2 year contract and address this next year in the draft. Hope it gets done.

I'd like the signing for the same reason. We wouldn't absolutely need to draft a RB. If one fell to us that we liked then of course we grab him, but it would leave our options open.

Bradshaw would be a stop-gap strategy at RB. I don't think we'd need to alter our draft strategy when it comes to drafting a RB. We still need to grab a young guy with long-term potential fairly early (first 3 rounds).

Jack, I agree we could still take a back, but not in the top 2 rounds. Signing Bradshaw would allow us to wait until rounds 3-5 to grab one. That would be absolutely ideal, because this draft is VERY deep at the position. We could grab a guy that has talent but not be forced to throw him out there too quickly...

It could also allow us to take a chance on a guy like Lattimore who could take a little bit to get completely healthy.

I agree with this. I don't see any of the 2nd - 3rd round backs being better than the 4th - 5th round backs. It's just a question of preference. There are no can't miss RB prospects, and a whole of slew of solid prospects, in this year's draft.

Told Ahmad Bradshaw getting physical from Steelers docs today. All checks out, they will try to sign him. Hearing not huge market for the RB

All apparently did not check out. Bradshaw left without a contract.

Don't know what they saw but the guy ran for 1,000 yards last year on a bum foot, can't imagine it's worse after the surgery. Hope no one else makes him an offer, I'm telling you, this would be a good signing, you'd get good production at a discount rate.
