And that was never going to happen while Austin was already under contract, I think Flores came to the Steelers just to get back on his feet and was always going to move on.

yep, let's try and get lions coaches ---because they never won a Superbowl, and they are not winning one this year either :roflmao:...Don't try to get Chiefs coaches or Eagles coaches for that matter ---let's get losers like Arthur Smith whose ball control offense. Sucks:poopy::lollmao: Let's not get someone exciting or likes to score--it is probably all Tomlin anyway. Let's keep using the outdated Tampa 2 also--- it works so well:applaud::thumbs_up: Now I got to hope someone beats the Ravens or those Bst--rds will win Superbowl.

Milquetoast Rooney is running it back with under contract Fraudlin and his under contract loser coaches.

I’d be happy if we hire Randle-El as OC or assistant coach. I’m sure he picked up a thing or two working with Johnson and will be head and shoulders better than the bums we’ve had as OC

Good argument. Maybe its also good draft/FA evaluation. There were some years where the Steelers had some nice depth along the defense.

Opinions have to be tempered with time for perspective. Daniel’s poise was incredible in that game!

Detroit finished 7th in points against. PIT finished 8th, and that is with only one guy that showed up on the DL in the last 5 games.

Not just very talented. I'd argue this is the best rookie season for an NFL QB ever

Ben's was comparable, but he had way more talent around him

That is the point I was making. We took the "easy" route and just "rehabbed" Flores' career and sent him on his way instead of taking a look at whether or not Flores would be a better choice than our current DC.... Now Flores is viewed as a HC candidate for his unbelievably good job in Minnesota and we are mulling firing our DC due to non-performance. Hindsight is 20/20 of course, but when you make decisions based on precedent and risk-aversion and not on merits, you leave yourself open to being made look stupid. We look dumb for it right now, that's for sure.

Dotson was responsible for blocking Jalen Carter on that last drive for the Rams and he didn't even touch him .

He got called for a false start the play before that. That put the Rams in a position that they had to throw in and then he whiffed on Carter which in effect ended the game.

Now we know why the Steelers traded him
