I think her's either just worn down from carrrying Tomlin for nearly a decade, or he's just naturally on the downslope, he wasn't the real TJ Watt for 3/4 of the season.

But, I am never putting a scinttilla of blame or fault for this season on that mans shoulders, 99% of the roster and 100% of the coaches are not even fit to be in the same locker room as he is.

It just shows just like with Big Ben what Tomlin is when his best player either isn't there or has a down year.

Seems to work well for Mahomes and Reid.

They really should trade him while he still has value. After next year it will be too late.

That goes both ways. I'll rarely dish it out when the intent of the post is clearly know.

I know you meant well and not we'll (we will). Didn't need to be stated, except you routinely do that looking for an argument (I'm assuming). Again, focus on the real problem (Steelers play) and not some stupid grammar, spelling or punctuation, unless you secretly want to be a 4th grade teacher.

No real beef with you, but the frustration should be with Rooney, Tomlin and the "pros" who routinely don't show up for work.

Looked like they (Watt/Highsmith) were told to focus on the RB's and not Lamar. Several times where Lamar kept the ball while the LB's just ran past him to an empty handed RB. And when Lamar held the ball in the pocket, the majority of time he was able to scramble/avoid the sack and get the ball off.

Ravens were simply the better team last night...with a better plan.

Watching the Chiefs/Texans game and #95 Jones already has a sack.
Watt is the MT of OLB regular season hero.

The whole team does nothing in the post season, not just Watt.

Well this dude is supposed to be the best? An MVP candidate yet he goes AWOL in the playoffs.

True, but he has been carrying the team for years all season long.

Both Watt and Highsmith kept looping ridiculously wide around their respective Defenders the entire game. The problem with that? It leaves the center soft for the likes of Jackson n Henry. Baltimore finally figured this out.

BTW, that IS coaching! Tell ‘em quit trying to get to them wide around the sides. Even if you don’t get to them, clog up the middle and that will eventually force them to go outside wide. You can then return to both LBers looping wide cuz now your offensive threat is there.

A horrific example of this mess, was both looping wide around, grabbing a player that didn’t even have the ball because the play went straight up the gut. The play was already OVER while our backs finally found and secured the wrong person. Utterly ridiculous.

Don’t think he is the only one that goes AWOL. What you think a smart coach does against Pittsburgh? They double or chip the end every play, I am sure a coach that’s worth anything says well they got one player who we need to make sure doesn’t ruin the game for us. Our D tackles get no push and can’t keep blockers off the middle linebackers and our great coach lines up in the same defense and moves nobody no stunts no crosses nothing just rush so even if the outside backers make the qb step up he has time. The d line sucks period you all about Heyward and yea he was once great he isn’t now and rarely wins one on one anymore and nobody except Watt even warrants a double team. Guess it’s Watts fault we give up 200 plus on the ground too when they run up the middle all the damn time. Is Watt what he was nope probably not as he can’t take a whole team on anymore but how many of those ten wins you getting if he isn’t out there? 1-10 when he doesn’t play. But yea you are right he is to blame

Did anyone see JJ Watt interview with McAfee, he said TJ will not be playing on the last year of his contract unless he gets a new one. Do we give Watt another contract paying over $30 million a year?
We got to start being realistic with these older players.

This stuff is getting ridiculous. Why do these guys refuse to play on the last year of their contract? Stupid

Don’t see many defenders take any team to playoff wins usually it’s the offense scoring points. Oh that’s right Steelers don’t score points on offense like most teams do Tomlin thinks the defense should do it for him. Maybe if the Russ led office didn’t do 3 and outs for the whole first half the defense could get some air some rest and be a little fresher but that doesn’t happen now does it. So yea keep counting on your outside linebacker to give you playoff wins let me know how that works out for ya.

What's Watt gonna do? Sit out for a year and lose $30 million? Yeah right. He's running out of time to be throwing that kind of money away.

I don't see them paying top dollar for a 31 year old that is in decline. I would give him something similar to Danielle Hunter, he got a two year deal for $49 million. So, that extension would take him through 2027. He'd be 33.

I doubt he sit out, but I bet he doesn't practice at training camp like he did before.
