    The exodus continues.

We definitely have more of a need at safety now with Mundy and Allen both jumping ship and aging stars in Troy and Clark. Vaccaro may be our guy if he's there at 17.

I could definitely see this. I could see us grabbing one in round 1 or 2, and another later in 5 or 6.

While losing more guys is obviously a concern, I honestly don't see any threads appearing in December with titles like "Now we can all see that we should have hung on to Will Allen!"

He was a serviceable back up. These are not guys to shed tears over.

No big deal the Steelers weren't going to re-sign him anyway.

...and the Ravens sign Michael Hufff.

Ravens are kind of building a team of proven veterans on defense, could work nicely for them, or could backfire, but at least on paper looks like they are reloading....

I heard this today. Huff is a solid player and a good signing for the Rats. It seems that Mr. Newsome is trumping Mr. Colbert in key free agent signings to fill key positions. We've missed out on what seemed to be good opportunities to fill holes like Victor Butler and others.

He would have similar results as Wallace had here with Ben throwing him the ball.

I work with a die hard Raiders fan who told me today that he was REALLY glad to see Huff go and also hoped to see McLain released as well. He also said he would like to see them get Urlacher. So take his opinion with a grain of salt I suppose. I told him he should wanna get James Harrison since he sorta plays rough. I would say that he plays like an old Raider but since they actually DID play dirty and he just plays nasty I didn't wanna put the Raiders in our class of class. LOL.

Another good move by OZZIE, why can't the Steelers make these type of moves?

Rebuilding a team with multiple FA veterans usually doesnt work out very well, the skins tried it a couple of times, and it didnt work out for them: Philly did the same thing 2 years ago when they supposedly had a dream team built with FA veterans, the problem is when you bring in multiple players from other teams to form a nucleus on defense or offense, they all come from different systems and they have a hard time getting used to the players around them, they dont know their team mates instincts: So, it takes time before they get comfortable learning a new system, learning the verbage, and it takes time for them to become comfortable to react instead of thinking about reacting. The ravens wont have that same rhythm on defense they had last year, thats a given...

For one thing - not sure how important it is to some guys, but still - they are coming straight from a superbowl. If you're looking for success later on in your career, who do you go to - the team from the superbowl or the team that went 8-8?

Will Allen was a bit more then servicable. The last I checked he played quite well for an injured AGAIN Troy.

A show of hands who thinks that Troy will play a full season. Ummmm, one in the back of the room!

I do believe that two safetys will be drafted. Possibly 1st round. Need one high to replace Troy or Clark. Clarks last year. Guess we will see if he will come back after this season at a reduced rate. I doubt it.

Need to upgrade the corners. Ike is coming off an injury. Maybe he will play off 15 yards instead of 10. Wanted them to sign Keenan but there was no money. Thin there to.

Keeping Allen would be insurance. And knows the system. I'm sure he got more from Dallas then the brass would offer.

    Secondary is the immediate need.
