Does anybody know much about the Rooney succession plan?

I found this article about Art II's son Daniel being the possible heir apparent. There's also a few other Danny's and Arts in there in different roles.

I'm really looking for forward to ART II's departure. If he's incapable of making tough decisions, and updating his business model to reflect the new NFL, then take your 71 year old bones and retire to your Irish estate. Keep working on that NFL Ireland game.

I don't mind be conservative in general, but not to the point of stagnation. Maybe the young generation will be more forward thinking.

Dan Rooney Jr is the next in line, as far as I know. It could always change though.

Let's hope the next Rooney is a winner, far better coaches than MT have been let go. This is insanity.

The OP put it just right, stability is great, stagnation isn't.

    Stability is synonymous with unaccountability.

We are probably going to be a very disappointed fan base, chatter is they are not going to make any changes, not even Austin and Myers.

The only change I am seeing being reported is trading GP.

But coaching wise, looks like they are going to run it back.

They actually may lose a promising young coach on the staff, I just saw Grady Brown is being interviewed for a DC position.

Apparently we would get a 3rd rd comp pick if he were hired away.

Wonderful. Same as it ever was. Big changes a coming :roflmao:

Hopefully Art II steps down at the end of Bags Tomlin's contract and a Dan Jr brings in a new regime so Art II won't have dirt on his hands getting rid of Bags Tomlin. One can only hope.

Dan Jr will need to have the stones to fire a coach under contract because Art II will extend Tomlin for 3 more years on his way out the door.

Art 2 is a winner. He was the team president for our last three Super Bowl appearances. Explain that.

Losers don't settle for mediocrity and a comfort blanket. He said one and done playoff runs weren't good enough, then signed on for more.

You might want to read what you just posted and think about it.

Maybe you'd like to re-assess your asessment of loser Rooney.

No DC job for Grady. See if anyone else interviews him.

Maybe, but you should still reread what you wrote. It makes no sense.

That would be unacceptable, and the fanbase is going to have to let him know about it.

If we run it back with the same coaches and trade our best offensive weapon, then we're just dumb. Going to be really hard to be a fan if that is the case.

I will say, we might be holding out on firings until HC positions have been decided. Hard to know who will be available until a lot of the HC positions are filled.

I think you meant to say winners, not losers?
