Art needs to sell the team. It’s clear he isn’t half the man his daddy was and has no clue what looks good and what looks like ****.

After the past six 1st round playoff blowouts (with only Tomlin being the common denominator) and the five game losing blowouts (except for the Bengals... where we lost at home for F sakes!), I would trade Mike Tomlin for a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rd pick, TJ Watt for a 1st and 2nd, and Minka for a 4th. That would give the Steelers a new head coach (finally), three 1st Rd picks, three 2nd Rd picks, two 3rds, and two 4th rd picks. That would be 8 players in the first 3 rds or 10 players in the first 4 rds. Not to mention clearing out two huge salaries off the Steelers books! THAT is how to start a rebuild. Of course, that would take an owner with some balls and cares about winning Championships more than incompetent loyalty and being satisfied with barely above .500 records each year.

Unless Tomlin specifically nixed ANY trade, they should listen to any offer.

Years ago the Pittsburgh Pirate fans tried that. I forget what inning they were supposed to stand up and walk out. Just so happens the Pirates were winning the game when walk-out inning came up and only a handful walked out if I remember correctly.

As I said before if thing go south early in season I imagine the chants won't sound good to Tomlin's ears.

I don’t want the Rooney’s to sell. Could end up with some crappy owners like Khan or the Yorks in SF.

Someone needs to just wake him the hell up. Mike Tomlin is a C- coach. You are never winning with him again. Only reason you won with him is because he had an all-star team the first 5 years of his coaching career. Same set up George Seifert had and same set up Barry Switzer had. It’s time to change.

What is it about 'no trade clause' that's confusing?

Yes, if they start 1-3 or 2-5, it's going to get really ugly.

That's the damn truth, too. I can honestly remember famous Steelers fans BOO SESSIONS of the past like Cliff Stoudt, some scrub QB's in the late 80's & 90"s, and some smattering of BOO's over the years, but those were players. When this thing turns on Mike Dumblin, it's gonna get real intense real fast. The thing is, Rooney might think keeping him on the sideline is some nice gesture, but it can backfire...Steelers fans can turn his life into a living hell!

They have no intention of moving on from Tomlin. I never even considered it as a possibility this offseason personally

The most frustrating thing for me is that it appears like they are going to return more or less the same coaching staff across the board including Pat Meyer. This team desperately needs a proven Oline coach to develop all these guys they have drafted

I know others want Austin gone too but is that going to matter when Tomlin runs the D? Maybe they could make an addition like when they brought in Flores two years ago. Antonio Pierce has HC experience and is available for example.

just wondering? Do y’all think that Tomlin is still the coach to lead this team? Most seem to be ready for a change! I figured just about every steeler fan would be ready for something new. This same old story is old now.

If I'm Tomlin's agent, I'd want to hear what other teams have to say/offer and use this as a bargaining tool to get more money out of the Steelers. It happens in CFB all the time.

It's OK, jeh...I know you're hurting, dude. You're hurting because you wanted Dumblin to be "the" guy, some great coach, some replica Chuck Noll coach, etc. Well, we all did, but it's NOT going to happen. The last 5 or 6 years, I NEVER wanted to be right about Dumblin.

Let me put it another way, and it's very simple...you and these Mike Dumblin groupies are rambling on about NON-LOSING seasons every year because your hero isn't winning CHAMPIONSHIPS. 3 words define his career...
