Smith interviews for Chicago HC job

I don't disagree that you don't run from competition but if he was told one thing by Tomlin and then the guy changed his mind, perhaps in his mind that trust that was there was irrevocably broken. I somewhat believe that rumor as he did something similar to James Harrison and why Harrison forced his way out (how he did it I don't condone and tarnished Harrison a bit and the football God's were watching and the Pats lost). No matter I guess because I don't believe from what I saw Pickett is an NFL starter.

 

I think Pickett knew he wasn't to start over Russell and then asked out.

 

A name to keep on speed dial; Matt Campbell. He's turned around a program at ISU without benefit of great QBs. He did coach Purdy. He's early 40s and has a solid understanding of modern offenses. Known for building winning culture.

 

I thought Chicago was looking to hire
A HC that would be a leader of men? Does Arthur Smith
Come across to you as this? I think they
are waiting on the ND coach to see if there is interest.

 

I think KP cut his ties when he and his advisors realized they
were being hoodwinked?

 

The voices on the radio said the Bears "rolled out the red carpet" for their meeting with McCarthy.


I have heard they are waiting until after the college championship game to talk with Marcus Freeman about the HC job.


The Bears also interviewed with Iowa State HC, Matt Campbell.


Add Smith and that would be 4 of the required 5 interviews. So far all solid interviews, IMO.

 

I don’t care if we lose him. These guys are all the same under Tomlin’s leadership.

 

Sonebody do us a favor….please. Be one down and one (never) to go.

 

AS will be back as Steelers OC… don’t see anyone hiring him as a HC at this time
