Why would any organization do that when they had Bell and Conner?

Message to First Take, 31 teams could have had Jackson and passed on him. Also, he didn’t fit in our offensive scheme. If we had drafted him, it would’ve meant a complete retool. The Ravens were prepared to do that and walk away from Flacco.

Why would you say they should have taken him, but now that I'm reminding you that I wrote that on draft day back then, you write this?

Remember, Conner was drafted the previous year, but he had barely played as a rookie. Bell was the sure thing, but there were reasons for concern.

I posted that before SteelersRule6 reminded me they drafted Conner a year before.

And I should have bought Apple stock 40 years ago.

Seriously though, these takes on sports shows are incredibly lazy "analysis", and annoy the hell out of me. It's like a magic trick where the magician guesses your card after you show him your card. It's absolutely pointless.

Just imagine if we had all of those Lombardi Trophies that Lamar has won!

Which was crazy what are we supposed to do Ben wait until you completely fall apart. Another selfish trait from him that pissed me off at the time.

Rooney is killing this team, said he expected to see improvement and an end to one and done in the playsoffs (paraphrase). Then after watching another one and done disaster runs it back (because that's what they're doing make no mistake) without a seconds worth of thought, analysis or investigation.

This is how Blockbuster went tits up.

And yet he would still probably be the best QB on the roster....agreed he wouldnt be able to move but I am sure we probably be better with him than we have without him

No question but he should have embraced and mentored the next QB vs pouting about it. I get the mindset of I am stil the man and can do it but the organization was great to him and he should have embraced that role as a true leader does.

    This.

Baltimore had both the foresight and the vision to cultivate Lamars abilities from Day One. Pittsburgh lacked that completely. Had Pittsburgh drafted Lamar, a helluva Lotta turnover would have had to happen on the Offensive Side of the ball; something that could have pissed off Big Ben in more ways than one.

Having no QB in the AFC is a death sentence. Even with a new HC, #7 is a long long ways off.

The Chiefs will probably win 4 more titles before we win one.

Worse, he put the Steelers in that position to draft Rudolph by threatening to retire because he was pouting about Haley. Then went and got pissed at them for drafting a QB.

Mr Drama Queen. We used to take bets at how many times he would get on the cart during a game.

You don't draft Chubbs while they were trying to get a long term deal done with LeVeon, and just drafted Conner the year before .

Tthe amount of unexpected times we had to replace key guys hurt us, Bell, AB, Worilds, Mendenhall, Shazier, Tuitt, DJ, etc. All guys that redirected resources that would have otherwise not happened at those respective times. Just like now, if we have to replace Pickens then that means two WR's have to go get. If DJ wasn't a cancer we would have had him, if pickens was mature our WR room wouldn't be in tatters and those resources could be directed towards DB or maybe the defensive line. All teams go through it but man we seem to have our issues with character and unexpected retirements earlier than expected.

Tomlin isn't leaving for at least 3 more years. Which means the Chiefs will win just as many playoff games as they've won at this moment, this year, as the Steelers will the next 3 years.
